You’ll see a lot of thanksgiving posts today, but I hope mine resonates with you in a way that lasts longer than just one day. 🤍
Every holiday, my heart goes out to those of you who find yourselves celebrating differently than you had hoped or expected. Life can be incredibly tough, and I want you to know that I genuinely mean it when I send all my love and prayers your way.
Recently, a friend shared something that really stuck with me. They decided to stop telling themselves how hard this time of year is for them and instead shift their focus to expressing gratitude.
They told me that while they can’t change the past or their circumstances, they’ve started recognizing the blessings around them.
That shift in perspective, they said, has helped them feel happier—and because they feel more happiness, it has empowered them to respond to life differently and take meaningful action.
That honestly made a lot of sense to me.
Sometimes, it’s as simple as saying, “I’m so glad to have a cozy blanket,” rather than trying to unravel the deeper meaning of life’s challenges. And if that little piece of gratitude can help us move to the next day or maybe even the next hour with a sense of purpose or progress, I think it’s worth doing.
‼️Don’t let this holiday pass without reflecting on what you’re genuinely thankful for.
Try it out! List at least 5 things you are honestly SO glad you have—and if you’re willing, please share one in the comments below.
Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
All the love
