Nicky Frechette of Corveaux Horsemanship, at Rookery Ranch in Keene, has been training horses and offering horsemanship lessons to the public for over 20 years. She has recently been focussing on the younger generation, consisting mostly of Keene Central School students, giving them a fulfilling, learning experience with horses, in the great outdoors.

Nicky has been contributing a sliding scale to families to help meet the costs of the horse lessons, but has found it isn’t enough for some. Considering the rising costs of keeping horses, and a desire to help kids get the funding to learn at the ranch, Corveaux Horsemanship is selling “Gift Cards”. Hi Everyone 🙂 This is so exciting! When I first read True Horsemanship Through Feel cover to cover, it changed my whole world. I had so many emotions run through me, I remember having a good cry session over it. You see, I had spent my entire life gearing up to be a horse trainer, and after graduating from equestrian school, working in the international show circuit, having the credentials to land a job in any hunter/jumper/dressage barn I desired, I figured out that I was missing an important part. That "part" was the ability to understand feel, and how to apply it accurately. I didn't know how to meet the horse where THEY were, I thought I could just educate them where I was, with my knowledge of the aids, use of whips/spurs and more effective headgear. Leslie and Bill opened my eyes to a better, safer and more effective ways to communicate with horses. I am excited about our second look and study of Bill's Book "True Horsemanship Through Feel', starting Dec. 1,
