Most boutonnières don’t really get much attention. However, there is always one that is worthy. This “Infinity Loop” boutonnière design was made especially for today’s matrimony. Made from twisting sedge grass and painstakingly tucking strands without glueing…so worth it when complete…almost didn’t happen as it kept unraveling. Delicate seasonal paperwhites lifting the senses with its fragrance so pure was the perfect floral add on for its size and sturdiness. Here’s to wishing the newly weds a blissful and infinite love. ❤️

This is the first advent wreath made by . Will be honest, this required some research and understanding of traditions. Designing this piece took a bit of stepping out of traditional design, but not to go astray and ignore some ground rules.

#1 must be circular, representing God’s infinite love
#2 usually made with evergreens, representing hope for eternal life
#3 4 candles for advent season representing god’s love, peace, joy, and hope. Client will use purple and pink candles for their own candle lighting.

Most favorite part of this advent wreath are the red maple seeds collected in spring and seasonal bronze carex grass to. Hoping this will be that conversational piece during these holiday gatherings 💝

Not too soon to be thinking about spring. For those already planning and sourcing, it’s good to reach out to your local growers now and talk about what they plan for Spring 2025!

Pictured were fancy daffodils from . Check out her recent post for details on purchasing bulbs. Our favorite to design with from collection are:

🌼 Sir Winston Churchill - the fragrance is light and so uniquely its own
🌼 Ice King - the ruffled petals and good sized blooms are perfect for bouquets
🌼 British Gamble - pink frilly trumpets and color change with aging

Fall vibes mode activate!

Black mondo grass and cafe au lait dahlias are a sensational pair. Few sprigs of the last chocolate cosmos that money can buy (locally) to turn that hot cocoa craving on.

Local tulips are here and special varieties of tulips were just perfection. The leaves for both the featured tulips were so beautiful that it was difficult to strip away and compost 😭. We curled and tucked them to create a design just to incorporate them rather than waste, especially the variegated leaves of the yellow tulips that resemble hostas!!!

Nevertheless daffodils gave this design that delicate soft touch thats needed being next to rigid tall tulips (well until they bloom and make curvy moves). The scent of the mini daffs were so unique and unlike any daffodils scent. It was the only bunch and possibly the last available for this season so of course…SOLD!

It’s all about timing with spring’s bounty and different varieties come in and out of season with a snap of a finger. Truly blessed with our local growers and all they’re doing behind the scenes to bring local flowers to the table for us designers!!!

Specialty or fancy daffodils fulfilling our thirst of unique touches of spring. Colors fading from buttercreams to whites and salmon to blush make these less of an Easter affair for those spring weddings 😍.

grew an amazing selection of daffodils and the scents can carry you off in a light drift. So any compliments from these and best of all, they last quite awhile.

Winter wreath…yes it’s still winter despite the spring temps we’re experiencing.

The amazing selection of local pine and spruce boughs from on full display here. Added dried hydrangeas and amaranths for color with a pop of fresh protea from California. Those eucalyptus silver bells…🙌🏻. Smells amazingggggg. Atlas, the doggie, seems to agree. 💕

It has been quite warm in the PNW and now we’re expecting our first snow in the lowlands. No matter the weather, there are still locally grown florals and foliage here and there. In these pics, there’s Heather, budding Hellebores, Snowberries, and especially Viburnum!!! Viburnum is literally a MUST for winter arrangements. But seriously, a seasonal winter arrangement should really look like one, don’t you think? It’s all about design rather than the ingredient and we accept this challenge!!!

To our local growers, a wishlist to consider for your “year round” growing season 😁, see above! Don’t stop after Dahlia/mum season! There’s still so much you can provide for local florists/designers. Even if it’s just greeneries, you’re still helping to reduce our carbon footprint for whatever or wherever else we have to source from. 🙏🏼

Took some time, but here we are at the end of the year with the excuse of 2023 photo dump. 😅 Sometimes you just don’t get the photos you hoped for and settle for what you have.

This cake table really deserve its own post. The couple’s friend made this nautical inspired cake and it was truly the center of attention for all family and friends. The florals were built on site with nothing but willow balls to maintain the structure. Individual vase bowls were used to surround the cake with intentions for the guests to take home the arrangements. The meadow of local summer flowers surrounds the cake and adds grandeur rather than take over the cake’s presence. Another advantage to this design is that the flowers do not touch the cake potentially making it inedible. Not all flowers are safe especially those sprayed with herbicides or pesticides. Regardless of these chemicals, certain flowers contain its own natural dose of poison. Let’s all hope for more cake meadows in 2024!!!
