IT'S HERE ---- Pipes and Drums at Upper East THIS SATURDAY! If you haven’t seen this performance before, this is a group of Kenosha firefighters and law enforcement officers playing the bagpipes and drums doing a pub crawl all around town! It’s such a fun event and the one day each year we’re open to the public. Green beer and Irish fare will be available for purchase! Doors open at 3:30PM and the bagpipers perform at 6:15PM. Come and grab a spot early ----- it’s going to get busy!! We hope to see you here!

🧡💚🧡💚 Pipes & Drums are BACK at Upper East on March 15th and we couldn't be more excited!! If you haven't had a chance to see the Kenosha Area Pipes and Drums Association play for St Paddy's, you're in for a treat! Open to the public ----- food and beverage available for purchase! Family friendly ----- snap a pic at the photobooth, snag a treat from the ice cream cart (free for the kiddos), and other fun stuff! Doors open at 3:30PM! Grab your green and come join us!

✨"Upper East exceeded our expectations. It was the first wedding venue we toured and instantly feel in love. I remember walking around and envisioning walking down the aisle to my now husband, dancing on the dance floor with our kids and the room filled with all our loved ones. The aesthetic of Upper East is unmatched. It’s completely stunning and can fit anyone’s vision. The staff was so patient and flexible with questions, concerns, and most importantly the amount they take off your plate. From setting up, taking down, and not to mention how they kept us on track throughout the planning process, was just what we needed. When designing your wedding reception, it's easy to remember centerpieces for the guest tables ----- but so often we notice that our clients forget about the head table. 😲 More than any other table, this one will definitely be photographed! So don't forget some decor or a floral install piece like these beauties ---- It's sure to look stunning in those "clink, clink, clink....kiss" photos!

Not big on cake? No problem! We've seen tons of cute ideas in place of a traditional cake cutting. One of the most popular this year has been a couple's champagne pour -- we've also seen plenty of our homemade pizzas being cut in unity as well! We're always an advocate for breaking tradition and finding ways to infuse a little bit of your own personality into your special day. 🍾🥂

You said, "YES"!! Now what? Today we're sharing three things no one tells you about getting engaged.

1 - You'll be able to share your engagement story in your sleep! Everyone wants to hear how the proposal went (including us -- we LOVE to hear how the "will you marry me" was asked). Be prepared to tell it over and over -- trust us, it never gets old! Enjoy sharing this exciting moment with your family and friends!

2 - You'll be shocked how fast it is before people start asking, "so when's the big day?" Our advice -- before you jump into wedding planning, enjoy being engaged for a moment. This is such a special time in your life -- don't rush it or feel pressured to give an exact answer of when you'll say "I do!"

3 - Pinterest overload is real!! There are SO many great ideas out there, and SO much access to inspiration for your big day. You could go with something modern, vintage, boho -- whichever you pick, it's going to be perfect! Our friendly piece of advice ... once you pick a style or vision, don't second guess yourself. There's always going to be another great photo or something you haven't seen before. Incorporate what you want and chalk up the others as "that's beautiful, but not for my day."

Being engaged is such an exciting time for a couple. Enjoy every moment of it!! And when you're ready to start touring wedding venues, we are here and ready to show you around! Cheers to the start of wedding planning!!
