ABOUT THE SRCA EXPANSION

Standing Rock Cultural Arts recently received the opportunity to expand our space for arts, educational, and community programming. This option came to us with a 5-year lease for Suite D directly next to our current gallery at 300 N. Water Street.

This new space encompasses 1,600 square feet – almost twice as much as our current space and features original wood floors and 14-foot ceilings! The space also has a functional kitchen, refrigerator, and hot water. The lease includes approval to remodel the space to make it appropriate for the arts.

We intend to use this space to build on our long-nurtured dream of a full-service cultural arts center for the community, bringing cost to fruition the dream of reinvigorating the North Water Street Art District.

Recently we completed some renovations. We’re raising funds to pay for the renovations and be a le to sustain the gallery for years to come.

Refinished the original wood floors (carpeting has already been removed)
Added drywall to create more exhibition space
Painted the entire space
Added track lighting for art exhibits
Remodeled to add a door entrance in the south wall of our existing gallery to join the arts spaces

SO FAR, WE’VE REACHED $3,600 OF OUR $5,000 GOAL!
Thank you to all who Donated to Support Cultural Arts in Downtown Kent!
