I own and operate Bragg Floral, a flower shop in southern Wayne County. God has blessed me with the ability to sing, paint, draw and arrange florals and wreaths, as well as write poetry and songs, just about anything creative and crafty. My talent is God given and I am a self taught artist and florist. I have been blessed to live my dream, and it has went further than any dream I could have imagined!
I was raised in southern West Virginia and have fond memories of my early childhood living in an old farm house on Breeden Creek. I have always been around old barns which is why I love painting them so much, I suppose. Old, weathered wood is beautiful in my eyes, and pair that with fresh flowers and ivy and I’m in heaven! I can paint it or arrange it all day long.
I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful children who own my heart. We also have a faithful, if sometimes grouchy, fur baby, Matilda. Even though she is a mix breed, she is ALL chihuahua, rescued from a shelter and given to me for Mother’s Day by my daughter. We also have BoBo, a handsome, aged German Sheppard mix who is ever watchful over his home and those he loves.
I have a love for all animals, especially birds. I love painting them. I have had several feather babies over the years but my favorite was Frazier, a Eurasian Collared dove. We had a special bond that I will never forget and I plan to paint his little portrait.
