🎨Attention all Artists, Makers, and Craft Creators!

Showcase your wares at the Kerrville Folk Festival this Spring: May 22 - June 8! We are accepting applications for our 2025 Craft Village now through Feb. 28th.

Each booth is built with a wood floor and tin roof and equipped with a standard 2-plug 110 electrical outlet. WiFi for sales is provided and each vendor receives two festival wristbands and free tent camping included with their booth fee.

Returning Crafters submit soon so we know to hold your spot, and we can’t wait to see all the NEW Artists joining us this year! More information can be found at https://www.kerrvillefolkfestival.org/craft-vending

We would be remiss if we did not take a moment to note the passing of Peter Yarrow; we offer our condolences to Chris, Bethany, the rest of his family, and his longtime performance partner Noel “Paul” Stookey.

Peter was instrumental in the success of the Kerrville Folk Festival, by sharing his expertise with Rod Kennedy from his years working with the Newport Folk Festival. They formulated the concept of a concert dedicated to emerging folk performers and songwriters and together they organized the New Folk Competition, later, the Grassy Hill New Folk Competition. New Folk became the signature event of the festival; this yearly event is arguably the most respected platform in America for recognizing and launching new singer/songwriters.

Peter supported the Festival in other ways, including donating in 1990 to keep the festival afloat when bankruptcy was imminent, and personally covering the cost to fly out Mary Travers in 2005 after she was diagnosed with leukemia, so that the Peter, Paul, and Mary performance could go on.

We recognize that aspects of Peter's life were not without controversy and, like many in our community, we recognize that while some individuals may make positive contributions to the world, they may also be deeply flawed. We are grateful for the support Peter provided over the years while still troubled by some of the morally disreputable parts of his history.

The Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation strives to support a safe environment for attendees, staff, volunteers, vendors, and contractors. With the approaching familial holiday weekend, we are keeping Peter Yarrow and his family in our hearts as he faces the final chapter of his courageous battle with cancer.

Peter, a folk legend, activist, and friend has graced our stage and campground countless times over the past 53 years. From “Puff the Magic Dragon” singalongs to heartfelt birthday celebrations, his presence has been a cornerstone of our festival’s magic.

As a close friend of our founder, Rod Kennedy, Peter played a key role in the formative years that shaped the Kerrville Folk Festival into the haven for songwriters that it is today.

Peter’s daughter Bethany and son Christopher Yarrow are honoring his life with a living tribute and they welcome you to share your uplifting stories, memories, and messages while Peter is still with us. If you have something you would like to share, please follow this link ⬇️

We’re in the home stretch of the 2024 New Folk winners tour! You've only got three more chances to see these brilliant songwriters perform live as they conclude their victory lap around the great state of Texas!

It’s going to be a beautiful evening with perfect weather at in Kerrville tonight! The show starts at 6pm. This is the only free show on the tour, so bring some dollars for the tip jar!

OR come see us tomorrow at Live at the Donkey Shack in Fisher for a festive afternoon of fantastic music including our 6 New Folk winners!

Well, family… we know that some of you are really in need of some good news and something to look forward to, so here we go:

We are ready to officially announce that the Kerrville Folk Festival will return for a fun-filled, musical, magical EIGHTEEN DAYS in 2025! Make your plan to escape to songwriter paradise at Quiet Valley Ranch ~ May 22 through June 8!

We are also incredibly stoked and humbled to work with the unbelievably talented on our theme art for this year! Based in South Austin, Lauri is a graphic designer, avid gardener, and potter who has created stunning art for , a children’s book that was featured on with John Oliver, and brands like , , and ! We are so proud to have her on our team for this year’s Kerrville Folk Festival!

We hope this artwork and this news brings you a little joy. Don’t forget to lean on your community, your friends, and remember that the best music and art come from the most difficult times.
