The Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit incorporation. Our purpose is to educate the public about the benefits and characteristics of folk music. We exist to provide a unique experience in a musical community that is enjoyable and rewarding to the listeners and the performers who share their craft. Our vision is of a community where songwriters and their craft are treasure

d and supported and folk music is valued and enjoyed by people of all ages and circumstances. Our mission is to promote public appreciation and support for songwriters, the songwriting craft, and the gift that folk music offers to the world. The Foundation accomplishes its mission and reaches toward its vision by promoting folk music in its many and varied forms, and by actively supporting songwriting, songwriters and folk music education. Its flagship event, the Kerrville Folk Festival, is the longest continuously-running music festival in the United States and features more than 100 performing songwriters in intimate musical settings over 18 wonderful days and nights.

In partnership with our pals over at Pint and Plow Brewing, we are stoked to announce the return of our popular 🍻CRAFT BEER SEMINAR🍻 during the upcoming Welcome Home Fest! This year’s seminar will take place on Friday, October 11 at 2 PM in the Threadgill Theater.

The seminar and tasting will feature OKTOBERFEST BEERS from a few regional craft breweries will showcase their subtly sweet, malty Martzen style ales paired with sample portions of traditional foods like:
🥨 Bavarian style soft pretzels
🫕 German potato soup
🍖 Schnitzel medallions
🍒 Cherry cheese strudel

We will sip beers and taste bites while the panel of brewmasters answer questions and educate us about their brewery operations, facilities, and what makes their Oktoberfest beers special and unique. 🤓

Space is limited and this will sell out! Tickets are available to Welcome Home Festival attendees over the age of 21, and can be purchased on our Welcome Home Fest ticket page for $15 in advance, and $20 at the event. Admission will not only include access to the seminar, but also a commemorative KFF Belgian style tasting glass and a free, KFF Pint glass which they can fill with their fave Oktoberfest beer at the end of the seminar!

We’re keeping cool here with Mocktail Monday at Camp Mama Tried. And yes, it was 105. And yes, we’re still singing.

Our sandbox is the most happening spot for Kerr Kids during all the MainStage shows. Got a busy little one? Come on down. We’ve also got tag-a-kid to make sure reunions are easy should anyone get separated. #celebratingsongwriters
