I took a workshop with the incomparable Kristen McKay at her studio just this weekend and learned soo much from her and the other talented photographers and models who attended. Being a Bridesmaid or the Maid of Honor is a real commitment to your best friend, our beautiful bride. From the time shes engaged and even well after the wedding is over, you'll be turned to for advice and an encouraging smile. You shouldnt take the honor lightly, accept the position knowing that you have been chosen because she trusts that you will be there for her (with a big smile) all the way thru.
Here are a few helpful ways that you can be there for your bestfriend thru the wedding planning process 💐
• Communicate with the entire
• Be there for each dress fitting and learn to bustle her dress
• Be sure to keep the brides wishes in mind when you plan the and
• Include each bridesmaid in party planning and help make everyone feel essential
• For destination weddings make sure both the bride and groom has everything theyll need packed (Old, new, borrowed, blue, dress, shoes, jewelry, shirts, undershirts, collar stays, socks, pictures of grandparents, steamer, lingerie, passports, etc)
• Confirm hotel reservations
• Confirm rehearsal dinner details
• Be a listening ear for the bride
• Keep a room key on you at all times
• Write a meaningful speech or an awesome toast to give at the reception
• Day of, gather all the meaningful items for the photographer ahead of time (bouquet, old, new, borrowed, blue, photos, invitations, cufflinks, vows)
But most importantly,
• Remember you are there because she loves you and wants you to stand with her on the biggest day of her life.

Throwback to that time I was laying on my stomach getting the perfect angle of the bride and her beautiful baby daughter crawled over to me and snuggled in hard. It was such a sweet, moment. I love connecting with clients and can't wait to get back to it! ❤Thanks for the behind the scenes shot !
