I fell in love with photography when I first moved to the United States from Siberia Russia in 2001. Photography was my way exploring a magnificent, crazy, hectic, and full of energy New York City. I would get lost in the city streets with my little point and shoot camera, taking photos of the scenery, street life, and complete strangers. When I ran out of cash I applied for a job in a small neigh
borhood photo studio and this is how my professional journey started! I loved my new job and enjoyed every moment of it during that carefree, adventurous, and enchanting summer of 2001. But not until September 11 did I realize photography was my true calling. During those tragic and mad times I felt terrified and uncertain about so many things, but also deeply emotionally connected to New Yorkers through the photographs being brought in and printed by our photo lab. They weren't just photos I was printing, it was history in making. People's legacies and memories of the saddest and happiest moments. I wanted to document those memories, to be a part of it and create beautiful art work, healing and uniting. This is how I became a wedding and a portrait photographer. Through the years I had amazing opportunities to work and learn from the best photographers in the industry while studying at New York Institute of Photography. I launched my first photography business in 2007 in the Hamptons of eastern Long Island. A few years later I also added a branch in Newport, Rhode Island and Key West, Florida. I travel nationwide and around the world, but those 3 places are my favorite destinations, with a residency in Key West most of the year and Newport RH in a summer season. I'm blessed with my amazing and supportive family. We enjoy traveling, exploring new places and an outdoor life style. I wouldn't survive living away from the water and all of it wonders - that's how Living Water Images - my new company business name originated. This is my story, I would love to hear yours!
