We are delughted to welcome beadwork artist Candy Castillo to her first Kilgore ArtWalk!

Candy creates beautiful, intricate designs with tiny, glittering seed beads. Strikingly detailed, these creations taje the form of flowers, birds, and many other shapes. They are gorgeous labors of love that demonstrate the beauty that comes from talent, patience, and hard work. She also does lovely fabric work as well.

Based out of Brownsboro, TX, AK Kollective offers a variety of goods: jewelry, resin art, graphic art, painted art, fiber art, and more. We are extremely pleased to have a talented couple of artists bringing their diverse talents this weekend. Welcome Ally with Watercolor Witchery and Joey with Eldritch Failures Art!

Ally is a free-spirited artist who works in watercolor, acrylics, and digital. She creates droll, lively characters in picturesque backgrounds. Other subjects include pop culture, portraits of pets and people, and silhouettes. Pick up a canvas, plaque, or print during ArtWalk, or commission a custom work.

Joey's art is darker in subject and as detailed as it is shadowy. Wuth a focus on the macabre, characters and subjects from outside the horror genre also mske appearances, such as mytholigy and pop culture. Whether the dubject is Nosferatu or Super Saiyan Goku, Joey's art has a distinctly metal style, and was featured in Brain Bleed Zine Issue #6 in January 2024. Joey also does commission art.

Artists Caleb and Paul of C&P Creations make a plethora of different things. They paint pictures and encase them in unique decorative frames inspired by nature. We are pleased to announce Jeb Hall, who will be performing flatfood dancing during ArtWalk.

"Flatfoot dancing is a low-to-the-floor folk dance style that originated in the Deep South and Appalachia between the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. It's characterized by dancers striking their heels, toes, or both against the floor or each other to create rhythms that match the music." -- from Wikipedia

In addition to dancing, Jeb likes to sing, cosplay, play basketball, meet his favorite celebrities and creators, and is an ameteur banjo and tinwhistle player who enjoys Open Mic Nights and spending time with friends. Jeb is also an advocate for inclusion in the cosplay community, especially for persons with disabilities.

We find the jewelry work of this artist interesting…and colorful, fun, detailed, bewitching, cool, eccentric, awesome…we could go on. We are excited to have AJ's Creations at the ArtWalk!

AJ makes a variety of jewelry and accessories such as earrings, card holders, keychains, cup charms, bracelets, stickers, and more. A fan of Kpop, books, and horror, many of his designs reflect these interests, but are by no means limited. AJ is also socially-conscious and offers designs for a variety of causes and credos, and fun pet-themed designs as well. He also does custom work, so you can always have exactly what speaks to you.
