Preliminary Overview:
The local motorcycle community teaming up with Educated Angels for Operation Hurricane Harvey Relief Project at The Killeen Special Events from August 30, 2017-September 11, 2017 is proud to say.
The Central Texas Community has more than supported those in need. Together we have collected:
$5,143.20 in monetary donations
$521,375 estimated in in-kind donations of food, clothing, baby goods, water, and house household products
Totaling over an estimated $525,000 of relief for victims of Hurricane Harvey
Together as a community we have had over 2,800 volunteers, averaging 4 hours per person estimating in over 11,200 volunteer hours
Over 27 restaurants, food truck, or individuals that donated food for over 2,800 volunteers estimating approximately $14,000 in donated in food.
We supported 3 shelter with hurricane evacuees, 5 hotels and numerous evacuees taken in by families.
Distributing basic needs to 698 evacuees from Brazoria County that came to The Killeen Special Events Center
Transported goods to several effect areas by means of a semi, a moving truck and over 10 trucks and trailers
Having the support of Operation Airdrop, 62 flights delivered over 27,000 lbs of needed goods to those in need in 6 days
