For the past 8 years we have hosted a number of halau’s, vendors and guests! We have not forgotten the amazing and wonderful support from city to city! Siva Ori Polynesia is a dance group dedicated to to the keeping of culture and tradition of Polynesian dance. Whether audience or dancer, experience the beauty and excitement of the Islands of Hawaii, Samoa, New Zealand and Tahiti, and the exhilaration of Fire Dance!
When our family moved out to California and tried to find a new dance family to join, we were faced with tuitions and costly costumes. Anyone running any kind of group is within their right to charge what they deserve for their amazing knowledge they share, and we will never, ever hold a negative opinion about that, but we were a struggling family in a California cost of living. With heavy hearts, we had to give up something we were passionate about.Unable to afford dance, we were left with an empty part of our life. We don’t want children and families to miss out on something they love due to finances. Keeping that feeling in mind, we started a small group, aiming to keep the budget low for the families. No tuition or monthly dues are charged for being a part of Siva Ori Polynesia. We fundraise almost every month for families to afford implements and costumes, because without it, our family could never afford them as well. We are passionate about what we do and keep God in our hearts, each practice and performance includes a family circle with prayer.
We are currently taking members of all ages. Join us and learn to dance the dances of Hawaii, Samoa,Tahiti, and Maori. Take in and fall in love with the culture; gain grace, dedication, confidence, discipline and respect.
