Quail Associates 2.0 held their annual August meeting last week in Kingsville. The meeting focused on data collection methods as well as updates on a variety of topics such as spatial patterns of quail hunting, quail parasites, and chestnut-bellied scaled quail. Quail Associates 2.0 is a group of "citizen scientists" who are at the forefront of quail research thanks to the data they provide the Institute. Special thanks to (pictured left to right) Abe Woodard, Carolina Munoz, Kristyn Stewart-Murphy, Katherine Travis, Liza Soliz, Alejandro Bazaldua, and Dr. Fidel Hernandez for a great day of presentations.
