Malena Smith has toured internationally and shared stages with the likes of Michael Bublé and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, but her upcoming appearance in Kirkwood will be a true homecoming.

The versatile vocalist will headline a Jan. 31 kickoff concert for local Black History Month events at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, bringing with her a band that includes two Grammy winners in Jahmal Nichols and Emanuel Harrold.
