Part 2. So this a public service announcement in the form of information. Ok, so as you know yesterday I delivered flowers to a local funeral home and flowers were already there and they were dead. I hope this does not come across in bad taste, but you have to be careful who you order from. I would love it if everybody bought flowers from me, it would kill me but I would love it.
With that said, you have to check the url's when you go online. Make sure you are not just seeing search words so you are not using Ava's, From You Flowers, Bloomstoday and a host of other people who only care about you buying from them and paying their service fee that goes directly into the bank. So after you get past them at the top of a search look at the address where the "Shop" is located. Now I have had friends who worked out of their home, doing great work. There are great freelance people out there who do wonderful work as well. But in my 44 years of doing this, in this town, that is the exception, not the rule. You do not have to buy flowers from me, but please make sure you are using a reputable local business. Check the reputation, online reviews and such. Naturally, their product is going to be cheaper, no overhead from running a brick and motor store. But sometimes price can not be the only factor. Reputation is actually what you are buying. If it is good then you know all the things you will never think about when it comes to your order will be taken care of with your best interest thought of, even if it cost to make it happen.That's all I am saying.

Ok - Part 1. Today I came across a situation that I really feel I need to share with anyone interested in ordering flowers. It may be long winded but necessary and two parts. This is part one. First let me say this. All flower shops buy flowers from the same place. Some of us may be better designers that others, but we mostly design the same way. So the only real thing that sets us apart is how we treat our customers. That is called your reputation. That brings us to today.

We all want a day off or free time but the people who buy from you expect a certain level of commitment. So with that said, a local funeral home had a visitation today. They were closed yesterday and visitation started this afternoon. I got there today with our flowers, as I do so many Sunday's to deliver our flowers. Yes the funeral home was not open, but it would be only a little bit before they did. When I got there sitting at the door were flowers delivered -YESTERDAY! These were family flowers. I can only tell you what they looked like. CRAP! How can any florist of clear conscious after taking your money delivery in a way that insures dead flowers! It just bothers me that there are people in my industry that treat customers like this. See part 2
