Reminder... please take lights off tree so we can use them for animal habitat areas.

🎄✨ What an incredible time we've had during the 2024 Festival of Trees! As the festival comes to a close, we want to express our deepest gratitude to Goods Tire Service for being our 2024 Festival of Trees main event sponsor. Your unwavering support for the third year in a row has truly helped make this event shine! 🌟

We’re also so thankful for everyone who participated and helped make this year our biggest yet—with a stunning total of 203 trees decorating River Front Park! 🌲🎉 Watching this event grow year after year has been nothing short of magical, and it’s all thanks to YOU.

A quick reminder: the trees in River Front Park will start being removed next Monday. Please make time this weekend to un-decorate your trees so we can ensure your beautiful ornaments and decorations stay safe. All trees will find a new purpose, being donated to various properties across Armstrong County to serve as wildlife habitats. 🐰🐿️ After all, we wouldn’t want a bunny or squirrel to snuggle up next to a light bulb—lol! 😊

Thank you again for your amazing participation, energy, and creativity. This festival wouldn’t be what it is without this incredible community. We can’t wait to see what this year brings! 🎅🎄❤️

🎶 Join us on Market Street for lineup at 4 PM, and don’t miss the magic when the parade kicks off at 6:30 PM! We’ll be spreading holiday cheer as we wind through the streets of Kittanning Borough, giving everyone a chance to wave hello to Santa himself!

We want to address an unfortunate issue that has come to our attention regarding increased theft during the Festival of Trees in Riverfront Park. First and foremost, we want to express how deeply saddened we are by these actions. We care deeply about our community and the effort you put into decorating your trees, and we do not condone such behavior in any way.

Walking through the park and seeing everyone’s creativity and unique decorations is truly a highlight of this event. We understand how much thought and care go into each tree, which makes it all the more disheartening to know that some ornaments have been reported missing.

As a quick reminder, weather can also play a small role in missing decorations. Personally, while walking through the Festival of Trees, I noticed numerous decorations on the ground that I carefully rehung on the closest tree. If you notice an ornament missing or out of place, it’s possible that a kind community member helped save it, and it may have been placed incorrectly. Please don’t be too quick to judge your neighbor for stealing—it could simply be an honest mistake or the result of wind or weather.

Regrettably, the borough does not have cameras or security measures in place to prevent theft, so the trees rely on the trust and goodwill of those visiting the park. We strongly encourage you to avoid placing valuable or personal items on your tree to minimize the risk of loss. That is the unfortunate hard truth.

We are so sorry this has happened. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beautiful tradition impacted in this way. Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to make the Festival of Trees a magical and meaningful event despite these challenges.

🎄 Calling All Business Owners, Nonprofits, and County Residents! 🎄

There’s still time to join the festive fun in this Friday’s Christmas Parade! We’re looking for decorated vehicles and creative floats to help light up the holiday spirit.

🚗 JEEP Enthusiasts, This Is Your Moment! 🚗
Our local Jeep club is revving up to join the celebration, and we’d love for you to join them! Deck out your Jeep with holiday cheer and cruise through the parade in style.

🎅 Important Reminder: Santa Claus will be provided by us to keep the magic alive. Elves, reindeer, the Grinch, and other Christmas characters are welcome to spread holiday joy—but please, no duplicate Santas!

Let’s make this parade a magical celebration for all! We can’t wait to see your creative Christmas spirit on display. ✨

🎄 A Heartfelt Thank You for a Magical Event! 🎄

I want to extend a warm thank you to everyone who joined us for our Festivities in the Streets event yesterday. We hope it brought you joy, created cherished memories, and filled your hearts with the magic of the season.

A special shoutout goes to our incredible board members and volunteers who dedicated countless hours—and even their own resources—to make this event possible. From August onward, they’ve worked tirelessly to plan fundraising efforts, secure food trucks, coordinate vendors, and organize all the wonderful free activities. Their dedication truly brings our community together.

To our generous donors: your support means the world to us. Every single dollar you contribute helps create the free activities that make this event so special for families. Thank you for believing in our vision and helping spread holiday cheer.

On another note, we were made aware of a second Santa setup at a storefront during our event. While we appreciate the enthusiasm, we kindly ask everyone to help us protect the magic of Christmas by ensuring there’s only one Santa at our events, as we will provide him. This applies to our upcoming Christmas Parade as well.

Thank you all for making this event such a success! Wishing you a season full of joy and wonder, and I can’t wait to see you again on December 6th for the parade! 🎅🎁
