It’s always the first weekend of August, Thursday-Sunday. An annual festival held along the banks of the beautiful Allegheny River in Kittanning. This Festival exists to honor and celebrate our rich history and heritage in Armstrong County. Featuring a handcrafted artist market, musical entertainment on two stages, historical entertainment and demonstrations throughout, including heritage arts & c

rafts, vehicle displays, delicious festival food, and much more! Each year, the Festival begins on Thursday and ends on the first Sunday in August.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for another amazing Fort Armstrong Folk Festival!! What a fun filled weekend with the KISS Concert, roast beef sandwiches, Iron City Beer commemorative can (still available at Armstrong Beer), The Kittanning Firemen’s Band 75th Anniversary, and 80 handcrafted artisan vendors. I hope you had as much fun as I did reconnecting with friends and family and making memories!! I am so thankful for the support we receive from our whole community, the commissioners, borough, Volunteer Firemen, non-profit organizations, local businesses and more. Our sponsors make the Festival possible year after year. Please support these amazing businesses. Our volunteers are instrumental in staffing every part of the Festival and keep it running smoothly. Thank you again to all who worked with us. We can’t wait to see you July 31- August 3, 2025!!!
