What sibling photos CAN look like in a newborn session.
If your older child is between 1-2, keep your expectations low as they may not cooperate and are not at an age that is easily bribed.
For your 2-4 year olds, please talk to them about the session and what to expect ahead of time AND bring bribes. Taking 2 images like this can take anywhere from 15min to 1 hr (depending on how cooperative your toddler is and how sleepy baby is.) if getting as many pictures of the new baby is your priority, some families opt to skip sibling pictures.
I will always start with sibling and family pictures so that another adult can leave with the sibling after these photos are done, and we can take our time finishing with baby only without you worrying about keeping your other child entertained. Of course I have some tricks up my sleeve to help make your older kiddo comfortable but toddlers can be elusive 😂
