***COMMUNITY SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

NCPD would like to remind everyone that this Saturday, September 14, 2024, is the New Castle Mini Marathon. Please be mindful of runners and walkers as you travel throughout the City of New Castle. NCPD will be assisting at intersections to try an ensure a safe and fun event. The event begins at 9:00am near the intersection of 15th and Race St. Over the course of the run, runners will travel North to the Wilbur Wright Trail and then back South to the intersection of Main St and Southview Dr. Expect some minimal traffic disruption and please drive safe.

I am bringing an endurance event to New Castle, IN. The New Castle Mini Marathon presented by Henry Community Health will be September 16, 2023. There are 1/2 mile, 5K, 10K, and 13.1 mile distances. In 2021, I started running. Actually, mostly walking with a little running mixed in. I worked my way from my first 5k to my first marathon in January 2022. Along the way my thinking changed. I realized I was capable of more than I thought. That ignited a passion to push myself beyond comfort. That is where growth occurs. This applies to all areas of life, not just endurance sports. Since January I have completed 3 half marathons (under 2 hours each) and 4 triathlons. I say that only to point out that I've come a long way from barely being able to run 60 seconds. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone again. I've started TNT Endurance Sports LLC. Check out this video introducing TNT Endurance Sports LLC.
