As a planner I am the BIGGEST advocate for budget awareness and I believe that is the second most crucial element to planning a wedding— the first being maintaining a relationship! However, the “budget friendly” and “arm and a leg” terminology is getting us NOWHERE!
If you want to find vendors within your budget, here are some steps you should take:
1) Set a budget. This will give you an outline of how much you’re working with and how much you can allot to each vendor.
2) Rank vendors in order of importance (to you)! All of your vendors play an important role, but this day revolves around you. If having a stress free day is more important than having show stoping tablescapes, you will want to allocate more of your budget towards a planner/ coordinator than decor!
3) Be upfront about your budget! This will not only save you time, but the vendors you inquire with may be able to offer you something within that budget, or recommend someone else that better suits your needs!
