🎉 Making Magic for a Very Special Celebration ✨

At the end of last year, we had the absolute honor of helping create an unforgettable celebration at The Penn Stater for a sweet, brave kid who just went into remission from cancer!

From friends and family to health heroes who supported their journey, everyone came together to mark this incredible milestone—and we couldn’t be more thrilled to play a small part in it.

🎈 What’s a party without a little glow? Our team spent many days blowing up glow-in-the-dark balloons to light up the night and add a splash of fun to the festivities! The joy, the smiles, and the love in the room were simply unmatched. 💡💛

The hotel was also hosting a Marine Ball the same evening as his Celebration, the Colonial and his team surprised him with a military entrance and presenting to him a commendation medal for an act of courage that is given to those who endured a difficult battle and won 🏅 He said “for fighting in your own war against cancer.” We were all in tears.

While weddings are our specialty, we also love celebrating all kinds of events that bring people together for life’s biggest moments. Whether it’s a party, milestone celebration, or community event, we’re here to make it unforgettable!

To the guest of honor: You’re a true warrior, and this party was every bit as amazing as you are. Here’s to many more bright, joy-filled moments ahead! 🥳💫

Meg has a message for all of you:

"If you’re starting or in the middle of event planning and find yourself a bit anxious about all of the decisions and details, you’re in the right place! I love to be a help wherever help is needed and I have a gift of creating a process that honors your personalities and your priorities.

Do you feel like you know (at least some of) what you want but you’re lacking a little confidence and organization to get there? Not every client has the same needs or same strengths, so you can count on me to get to know you and give you a good roadmap. Working with me, you’ll have reassurance that you’re not missing anything. My goal is to know you well enough that when the big day comes you and your loved ones can enjoy an stress-free day while my team and I can decisively intercept any potential problems.

I have worked in fields ranging from healthcare to sustainability to a children’s library (and many in between) and have developed the skills and patience to come alongside you and achieve even more than you dreamt up on your own.

✨ Meet the owners behind Cook Event Co. ✨

We’re Sarah and Kaleb, the husband-and-wife duo bringing your wedding and event dreams to life. I’m the planner, and Kaleb is the creative eye behind the camera as our in-house videographer.

Before Cook Event Co, we ran another wedding business and absolutely loved what we did—helping couples celebrate their love stories. But life threw us a curveball during the pandemic when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had to take a step back, and for a while, we wondered if we’d ever return to this passion.

With Kaleb’s unwavering support and belief in chasing our dreams, we rebranded and relaunched in 2022 as Cook Event Co. It’s been a journey of resilience, hope, and rediscovering what matters most: love, family, and celebrating life’s most beautiful moments.

The only reason we can do what we do is because of our FAITHFUL supporters, vendors, and clients. Thank you for making our dreams come true! Now we want to make your dreams come to life.

It can be overwhelming knowing what to ask and what to look for when touring a wedding venue. Our team does this all the time, so we come prepared with a list of questions to get answered when we go with you. Here’s a sneak peek into some of those questions we would ask:

1. Is someone on site the day of the wedding?

2. What is the role of the venue manager?

3. What time does music need to stop? (Local governance impacts the noise levels depending on the venue’s location)

4. Do you require event insurance? If so, how much?

5. Do you have a list of vendors you must use at this venue?

6. What is the parking situation?

7. Can a bus for guest transportation safely turnaround?

8. If we wanted to bring in homemade food (like a cookie table for example), is this allowed?

9. What time can we begin setting up?
