✨Yesterday we celebrated among family, friends and some incredible clients. Five! Five years and it really has flown by. The lessons learned are immense, and the growth keeps us going. Being able to work with such amazing humans, and the very best of friends, is beyond a dream. We’ve been through so much, and the pandemic *almost* closed the doors; but we pushed and hustled. We made all the pivots and created something out of nothing. We are now running three different businesses, and have diversified from necessity. And you know what, that’s the dream. And it’s hard. So hard. But, it’s totally worth it.

So today, we rest. We are thankful, and so genuinely grateful for all the messages and love. We have only just begun, we appreciate every single person who has shown us support in any way…usually by way of a last minute request for something crazy. ✨

We are BLOOMING here in Knoxville, and super excited to be underway for the 2022 House and Garden Show at the 🪴

A full week of load-in, walkie-talkies on blast, over 100k steps, and one amazing team made it all happen. Our client and committee for this show is absolutely EPIC!

We were ecstatic when came to us with the proposal of a seven-week concert series in downtown Knoxville at (and the eventual addition of four concerts at the World’s Fair Park!) I mean, isn’t it everyone’s dream to work in Rock and Roll? 🤟

For the next two months, our lives were dedicated to producing stellar events with unique experiences at each to reflect the vibe of the band. We were tasked with some of the usual planning: creating a footprint, hiring vendors and general logistics, BUT we also created a semi-private VIP experience and interactive backstage artist hospitality. Touring can be a drudge, so we wanted to provide a relaxing, homey area for the performers. 🪄

BONUS: We made some of the best new friends, had some of the best times, and learned sooo much. There are a TON of people who made this all happen (with only 6 weeks to plan), and we are so grateful to have been part of the team. 🥰

LIGHTS. CAMERA. LOGISTICS. ACTION! 🎬
This year we got to transform our favorite downtown patio Merchants of Beer into a Vintage Hollywood set meets Tennessee Football Tailgate Party….VOLLYWOOD!

We had a total blast at this 44th Annual soiree, and it all started with allll the namebadges. Luckily, our friends RockStar Passes always deliver! 900 badges + the best badge trays from pc/nametag (IYKYK), made registration a breeze!

Guests were then greeted with some Big Orange Neon and a life-sized football Oscar, designed by our pals Alder & Co. 👏👏Ya’ll, the full bar with FOUR signature cocktails, massively grande and delicious buffet created by the amazing team Bridgewater Place, our 1936 Plymouth photo opp (complete with vintage furs) 📸made this one of the BEST parties we’ve done for this super special client. 🧡

OH! Did we mention that this was an outdoor party with the BEST TV set-up in town? Yep, our friends at SpringBoard came through with seven gigantic TV’s, stellar sound, and Rocky Top on point 🎶. We could not have done this without them, and each guest had their own viewing party with their friends…it was epic!

Here’s a fun list of the people we rely on to really help make this happen. HUGE thanks to the incredible staff ….they are the real MVP’s of this game!

What happens when you take a vintage cathedral-style country club ballroom and add a dash of modern bride? Pure magic for the Manske’s! Sable Manske Chris Manske

The bride was referred to us by a colleague Mal Alder(who we love and appreciate 😉) and we knew right away it was a match made in heaven. Sable and Chris wanted to provide a beautiful and interactive reception for their guests to enjoy. From the curated wine blending and the custom cigar bar (ft. Cigartender Shane Moore) to the super glam mantles, each detail created a local-luxe vibe for their incredible day.

Our team, and a host of amazing vendors👇, then poured on the magic by bringing the outdoors into the ballroom using a TON of fresh greenery for the mantle and family-style table, then added a “coordinated mismatch” of taper candle holders that really took us back to the days the Club was built in the ’20s. Throw in some bold colors, an open bar, live band and an awesome buffet, and Voila! Perfection! 🕯🌿

Per usual, we LOVE that this gorgeous day was captured so beautifully by Katie Hannah. She is the absolute best, and we get truly excited when we are able to team up with her. 🍾

Bonus! Sable and Chris are true gems. We are so grateful for their trust in our team for their big day. They both have the sweetest families, and it was an honor to make their wedding dreams come true. They have also become great friends, and that is what it’s all about! 🥰

🎀💗🌸 POP of PINK? Yes, please….but, not at all what we are used to planning as “pretty in pink.” Nope, we created a whole new brand, learned many new skills, and had a ton of fun.

In summer 2020 pinkladyfoods came around as a way to truly just not go crazy. With every event we had cancelling-and no income-desperation led to innovation and lots of mess! So, we recreated a regionally famous warm and gooey cinnamon bread, plus a couple of other unique treats, and hit the road. 🚗

By 2021 we were up and running, and doing so many fun things with this new brand. Had a blast doing pop-up events, trial and error on bread tastings, and partnered up with our fave people Merchants of Beer by opening up the post-Covid spring with a couple awesome patio concerts featuring the amazing Smooth Sailor .🛥☀️

Look for LOTS more to come from this Pink Lady; she’s got a lot cooking, and always up for a good time! 😘

NETWORK, BUT MAKE IT FUN.
A few months ago, we got to work with one of our favorite clients, in the cutest little City of Clinton. Here are some super cool details from the event, and let's just say, that 90+ heat index had us sweating it all out! ☀️

Shut down the street...make it a margarita+burgers in paradise kinda night. We had an awesome time with DJ Jason Hammock keeping it hopping, JAET for this super cool Airstream bar, Clinch River Brewing for keeping the craft beers flowing, and Apple Blossom Catering for a super spread of island fare, always fantastic tacos from our great friends at Captain Muchachos , and the best sweet treats from Pink Lady Foods .

We had so much support from the local community, as well, these folks really know how to come together. Special thanks to Hoskins in the Flats for special decor help, Legend Photography for capturing group shots, Young Professionals of the ACCC who brought the cigar and jello shot station, and every single person who came out to celebrate this awesome Chamber community. 💃🕺

EventShop is always grateful to work on super-fun and creative events, but the team at ACCC is truly the best! ✨

‘Twas night before festival, and all through the grass, the committee was scurrying, time was moving so fast!🎄Hard stop. Let’s just celebrate that this annual festival was our FIRST back from pandemic, and it felt soooo awesome!

Having been involved for over 12 years, this one hit different. And, despite SO many restrictions, guidelines, new processes, actual freezing rain which led to summer weather the following day, we freaking did it! The client/family, plus huge and incredible committee, really pulled it off last April. 👏🏁

So, what do we actually DO? Our wheelhouse for this event is lots and lots of logistics. We help produce the diagram, place all programming, manage food trucks and other vendors, create and manage the mother of all load-in and out schedules, and assist with the overall design and feel of the festival. And, we are already rolling along for an epic festival in 2022.

Fun fact: As a kid, Brooke danced in the Dogwood Arts Festival every year (on concrete, lots of ripped suntan tights and skinned knees.) It is a passion project every year, and helping to create and bring this free festival to Knoxville is truly a dream come true.💭

We had the absolute honor to work with Dogwood Arts to produce 10,000 Art Kits. If you think, "I wonder who does that?"...it's likely that WE DO!

What did WE do?? We unboxed more than 22,000 individual boxes, created the mother-of-all assembly lines, called in the team from far and wide, did so much inventory work, and knocked it all out in a warehouse...in masks, of course. And, ended up with these amazing, totally packed with cool stuff, art kits featuring Sharpie Newell Brands donated products. 📝📦

And ya'll, this project made an impact on our community in a big way. If you have a random project, need some additional production assistance, or overall don't know where to turn, GIVE US A SHOUT! 📲
