What’s up BrickFam? Hope everyone has been well. It’s almost time for another BrickYard Family meet up. This Friday at 6:30pm we will be back at Beer Market in Bearden. We will plan on taking this time to catch up with friends and to also go over our progress on the search for our new home. We’ve been working hard and feel like Brick Fam deserves some kind of progress update so come out for updates. Sharing this post from my Neighbor Derek Senter who hosts the THE FUNHOUSE Fridays nights. If you are not aware of what’s happening at Wutk 90.3 the Rock Volunteer Radio to long time head of communications department Benny Smith you should make yourselves aware and do what you can to support this man who spent decades supporting Knoxville and its music scene.

“A week after the college posted this, they out him on admin leave. Something is very sketchy here and it isn’t Benny. Whomever made this decision obviously knows nothing about his importance to this community for the last 40+ years! Obviously and outside hire. It is disgusting and vindictive and at the very least, Benny needs to have nothing negative attached to him and the college needs to come clean. I can’t wait to hear this. To the local media: I beg all of you to do some real reporting and interviewing of both parties if Benny is even allowed to say anything. This is awful. Regardless of if Benny comes back, someone needs to be removed for making this decision. Unbelievable.
