Did you know today is national Baby Back Ribs day?!! To celebrate we’re dropping some fun facts you may not know!

* Name: Baby back ribs are named for their smaller size, not because they come from a baby pig. 🐷

* Bones: Baby back ribs have more curved bones than other types of ribs. A rack of baby back ribs typically has 8–13 ribs. 🦴

* Nutrition: Baby back ribs contain vitamin D, calcium, iron, and potassium.

* Each baby back rib rack averages 10 to 13 curved ribs that are 3 to 6 inches long and weigh about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds

* Baby back ribs are also known as loin, back, or Canadian back ribs. This refers to the part of the pig the cut comes from and the fact that Canadian bacon is taken from the same cut as these racks.
