Hello and good morning Monkey Business fans! We have a heck of a week planned out. Will be visiting Trane Co. Plant 7 on Wednesday, Thursday is Rotary Club of La Crosse-After Hours for some putt putt golf and grilled 🧀 🥓 🍗 sandwiches.
Then it’s off to La Crescent Applefest for what is looking to be a wonderful weekend of fun! 🛑 stop over and grab some tasty eats while enjoying the entertainment they have to offer.

Yet again we have been blessed with the opportunity of bringing on someone who has quickly become a large player for us. Everyone say hey to Nick Wingate! Nick gave us the honor of joining the crew not too far back. The skills he brings to the table mixed with his ability to adapt and learn on the fly has been incredible. It’s been great to add even more depth to our truck. Thanks Nick, appreciate everything you bring man!

Good morning everyone! ☀️ It’s truly the start of fall and harvest season in the coulee region. Leaves are changing & nights are cooling off. 🍂
Had a blast with the Screamjng Eagles on Friday at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Thanks for having us share our eats with everyone!

Check out our schedule for this week. Tomorrow we will host our amazing fish n chips in French island. Final Moon Tunes La Crosse on Thursday then it’s off to Ecker's Apple Farm on Saturday for some good entertainment!

Hello everyone good morning! Happy Friday!! We will be squaring away the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Screaming Eagles today from 4-8pm on campus by the student Union. We will be joined by an amazing lineup of food: Taco Broz, Stumpy's Concessions, Donuts! Something for everyone.

As we move into school time, we need to extend our gratitude 🙏 to a special few kiddos that gave up time during their summers Jaz Johnson, Wanke, & Silbaugh. We were able to spend some quality time with these guys both on and off the truck. We watched their progression from learning the basics to mastering the positions. And they made a wee bit of $$ along the way too.
Thanks kiddos for not only rocking with us but for being flexible and moldable!

Hello and good morning Monkey Business friends & Family. Truly hope the weekend was enjoyable.
We’ve been rather busy this year! We are returning back to the La Crosse area after crushing it at the Central Wisconsin State Fair. Had a blast and created a ton of new fans.

We now move into our fall season. Great time of year. Get ready to catch us up at Elmaro Vineyard, Ecker's Apple Farm, La Crescent Applefest & of course our first showing at 63rd Oktoberfest USA - La Crosse, WI! Oh ya…we aren’t done yet! No way!
We will be finding and creating events throughout the late fall and into early winter. Provided there isn’t a ton of snow on the ground, you’ll find us somewhere.

⛅️ Hello and good morning everyone, happy Friday!
Although the deluge halted things quickly, we still had the chance to cook for a decent number of you last night at Moon Tunes La Crosse. We also were able to shelter a few of you under our serving windows during the rain as well 😂.

We end the week getting ready for what could be our busiest event of the year: Central Wisconsin State Fair in Marshfield. We will be heading there on Monday and returning the following Monday. We will use the time before hand to make sure everything is in order for a smooth showing! 🎡

With that, as we get ready to leave town for a week, today’s Thank you is a bit different and special. The biggest thank you goes out to our spouses…Barbara Silbaugh & Julie Gates Wanke. These two get to hear us ramble and babble about food trucks, events, the heat, the hours, the weather…the wins and losses. They ensure the kiddos get to their sporting events or birthday parties. They also get to smell an assortment of different pleasant or unpleasant odors 😝! The support that is given to us is incredible from these two. You are the foundation that keeps us firmly planted. Thanks you guys, truly and literally couldn’t do it without you.

☘️ Well what a weekend at Irishfest La Crosse indeed! We were able to show off our skills and menus in style. We had an amazing day on Friday introducing our peeps and eats to everyone, Saturday then rivaled our record breaking day at Airfest and Sunday, due to us being out of our special menu items, switched from a Fish N Chips truck back to our normal menu. Which WOWd the crowd even further. Not only showing our flexibility but also dependability to come back and rock out to our max!
We met tons of new vendors and entertainers too! Dead on Target Armory has some of the coolest weaponry and blacksmiths you can find. Great people. The Harp Twins and the Volfgang Twins had everyone in the crowd (and truck as we were so close) jammin out to the Vikings theme song as well as Game of Thrones and many more. Incredibly unique individuals with even more unique talents.
Sharing the crowd with Chef Nick Wingate from Apothik Eatery + Food Truck is always a treat. The relationship between our two trucks is the definition of an alliance.

Lastly, we have another wonderful player you all need to meet. This is Lisa Zaehler! Lisa has been with us for a few short months but has quickly gained our confidence with her abilities and skills. She joins us with a huge array of experience…one highlight being the Chef on the hit series Yellowstone. If you’ve seen one of the actors eating anything on set, it was Miss Lisa who prepared it for them! Incredibly cool. Lisa is yet another one of those puzzle piece players who can just fit in anywhere needed. Thanks a ton for jamming hard!

Hello again Irishfest La Crosse! We are back again today with our full REGULAR many to satisfy the crowds. We sold almost 200 pounds of fish…almost 500 orders went out. Your kind words have been amazing for all of us. Very happy to announce we have been invited back for future years as well!

What a night at Irishfest La Crosse last evening. Although slightly out of the way you all seamed to have no problems finding us! We had to 86 our Fish N Chips shortly before close…160 orders on opening night. Thank you to everyone who came over, and hope to see the rest of you today.

Hello everyone! Thank you Moon Tunes La Crosse for another monster evening of fun. We will be setting up at Irishfest La Crosse today for our first time and to say we are excited is an understatement. We will be ready to serve you all by 3pm.
A few new items on our menu this weekend…of course our Fish N Chips is amazing, but we will also have our own spin on a Reuben and Rachel Melt! Definitely worth a visit.

Todays employee shoutout is a little more special. Think of what Metallica or Taylor Swift would be like without an AMAZING behind the scenes crew!?! So today we give a special thanks to our Cafe crew! These individuals make our life easier on the truck from cutting veggies to portioning cheese curds. The best is when we have a long food truck weekend and have to bring the dishes back to the cafe! 😝 Thanks you guys, couldn’t run it without ya!

Without a doubt we know we can rock a Sourdough Melt beautifully. 👏 Our ingredients blend well with each other and rest assured you get a little bit of everything in each bite.

However…have you had one of our crispy fresh garden 🥗 wraps? They are quickly overtaking our Melts! The blend of cool Monterey Jack cheese 🧀 and cheddar with either smoked chicken 🐓 or pork 🐖 is mouthwatering. Choose from either a CBR, Havana, Sweetheat 🌶️, Buffalo chicken or Southwest wrap. All amazing and all worth giving a whirl!

☀️ Good Morning Monkey Business Fans! We had an amazing time at One Fest in Cadott over the weekend. Tons of new vendors and new faces.

This week we are happily back in our hometown of La Crosse. We will be at Moon Tunes La Crosse on Thursday. Then it’s setup for our first showing at Irishfest La Crosse on Friday - Sunday. We will be rocking our Famous Fish n Chips (Yes Barrie Monks, we will have vinegar for you!) along with our own Reuben and Rachel Melts!

We were blessed this year yet again with an overwhelming amount of people wanting to Monkey around with us as employees on Monkey Business. Very encouraging to talk with many of you who want to jam with us. We were fortunate enough to grab a La Crosse Food Truck Guru recently. Everyone say hey to Alex Gonzales. This is Alex’s first season on the truck with us…however you all have probably seen his smiling face poking out of a couple of other trucks over the years in La Crosse. Alex is a fine-tuner; he can see areas of opportunity and with his experience gives insight on new and innovative ways to make our truck that much better. Within the first month with us Alex has mastered all positions and is a helping hand in the Founders Cafe as well. If you haven’t heard Alex laugh…you need to. Thanks for being a part of the team Al!
