It is Saturday- we are CLOSED TODAY. The snow has started outside. Winter storm warnings through this afternoon.
Organic Valley- some of their product is always in my fridge. Organic Valley in La Farge, WI had an event a couple weeks ago for some of their members and La Crosse Floral provided lots and lots of fresh greens for their tables, along with some beautiful homegrown alstroemeria from our wonderful 4th generation Family Business Grower out of Minnesota. If you have super organic food in your house, you are always ready for a snowstorm. ❄️☃️🍶

Sooo, I have had a few folks say we were "closed" during the Rummage Sale on Saturday. A few folks said the doors were locked. We were there until 3pm. Really. It was SOO COLD, that we simply shut the doors leading out to the parking lot- SOOO COLD. BUT THE DOORS WERE OPEN. We are open 9-1 on Tues. Wed. Fri. AND Sat. Simply stop in at La Crosse Floral- we'll get you to the sale :)
I sat in a very warm bathtub for 45 minutes at about 4pm on Saturday to try and warm up....SOO COLD.

If you want a nice "bar" area- we'll, SO MUCH BAR STUFF! My parents belonged to a "Supper Club". One member had to be a teacher(my Mom was a 1st grade teacher before kids). They met 1x/month for dinner, and then rotated to 1 couples house for "drinks" and dessert afterwards. (When older, it was "drinks" and horseydervies, then dinner). Anyway- Manhattan glasses, the Oktoberfest glassware vases, sherry glasses, shot glasses, wine glasses, Tom Collins glasses, you name it! And there were 10 couples, so usually up to 20 glasses...
And also dessert plates. Crazy great times. Three folks are still with us. (I still remember Cookie Domke giggling SO loud when she had a little to drink, as I was in my bedroom as a little girl!)
Come out Saturday 8-3 and find the barware!

So, on Saturday, at La Crosse Floral, I will be having a rummage sale- LOTS of glass, crystal- these are Waterford, pressed glass, cut glass, Picard china from 1952(yes- John bought this at the Navy PX in San Diego before they got married :), furniture, I have a beautiful 4 piece bedroom set with an xl twin bed(barely slept on), end table, bureau, vanity, clothing- both men's and women's, pristine new beanie babies, La Crosse Oktoberfest Button Steins, Thermal mugs also with Oktoberfest button on them, Oktoberfest glassware(my Dad was an Oktoberfest photographer, my Grandpa Hans was the 1969-1970 Festmaster), wheelchairs, walkers, and some La Crosse Floral things too- like Russell Woodard iconic spun vintage fiberglass tables and chairs, an antique stained glass arch which I had restored at about 4 feet tall, radio flyer wagons, a few weather safe 6 foot trellises, some odd things. I'll try to send a few pics each day.
SO, no deliveries on Thu./Fri./Sat.- we'll be open at La Crosse Floral 9-1, NO EARLY PEEKERS...Sale starts at 8AM on Saturday in our BIG GARAGE.

I wanted to show you bouquets and plants for my Dad(Dr. Greenthumb) John's funeral. It was comforting for me to design these. AND, - he was such an incredible photographer that I included the prints from a presentation he gave at Havenwood a couple weeks before he died.
