Flowers, those delicate beings, truly are a focal point to human emotion. As emotions have representation in internal feeling placed externally, the expression of natures' gifts bring the visual aspect into play. As florists, the subtle and warming feeling given to others, known or unknown, is not really explainable.
We encompass the most celebrated and joys - as well as the expression of deepest sympathy and sorrows. All the while, putting nature’s most vibrant reflections forward as a representation of the words humans find difficult to convey. To be in the human circle of life, and at peoples most important milestones is the gift we, as florists are given. In learning the correct basic skills, I have found that creativeness flows up from the roots to be enlarged upon.
Being able to have visual appeal, composition and focused direction are concepts put forth by many of today's most talented designers… whose inspirations and practices I have been allowed to embrace and enjoy. The gift florists are given is the trust to visualize and place into context thoughts and emotions that many persons have trouble verbalizing. We become confidants and interpreters of the soul.
The expressions we deliver the human condition are a precarious balance in form and representation. Florists are there for all of the important things in life, from births to deaths, the happiness and the sadness, the apologies, the gratitude and the celebrations. For those few minutes we are the voice to the person lacking words to describe what they feel.
