Ed Ward Fine Arts Series at St. Cletus Parish in La Grange, IL. In 2016 we changed our name to honor one of our founding board members, Ed Ward.

The Ed Ward Fine Arts Series was created in 2009 to present high quality musical performances outside of the liturgical setting. Our goal is to present between three and five concerts each year; some will feature our talented parishioners, others will invite professional ensembles to perform in our sanctuary.

This year’s Autumn concert will feature music by Percy Grainger, William Walton, and Al Reed amongst others. Featured compositions will include Molly on the Shore, an Irish Reel for Military Band, Second Suite for Band (Latino/Mexicana), Music from the movie Umbrellas of Cherbourg, and Autumn Leaves.

The concert will feature a slide show saluting the people that influenced the band members the most in their musical journeys, as the band performs Crown Imperial Coronation March.

Several unusual marches will be performed as well, including March Opus 99 by Sergei Prokofieff.

The Ed Ward Fine Arts Series is assembling a Festival Chorus this fall to present a concert titled "Of Songs and Inspiration." All local singers are invited to join us. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, September 15, and will be on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30 pm at St. Cletus in La Grange, IL ending with a concert on November 17 at 4:00 p.m.

Please join us on Sunday for a once-in-a-lifetime concert in honor of our namesake, Mr. Ed Ward. The outstanding The City Lights Orchestra will provide the core ensemble, joined by nationally renowned soloists, an appearance by the Combined Concert Bands of St. Cletus School, St. Francis Xavier La Grange, St. Barnabas School Buckeyes, and St. Christopher School, and many more of Ed's friends and musical colleagues.
