Dec 7th - LIGHT UP LAGRANGE 🎄. This event promises to be an enjoyable experience. The museum will be open the hours of 10am-9pm, offering grab-and-go S.T.E.A.M. bags. Visitors are invited to tour the museum, explore train history, and view operational train layouts. Train-themed merchandise will be available for purchase. Don’t forget, while you are here, to sign up to volunteer with us 🙂 we are always looking for new faces!

Murder mystery at the museum tonight!!!

Housed in an original 1914 L&N Train Depot, the museum features indoor exhibits with a wide variety of railroad artifacts. Explore the electric trolley interurban system room, which transported passengers between La Grange and Louisville from 1907 to 1935.

La Grange boasts one of the few remaining street-running train tracks in the entire country. Freight trains pass through the middle of Main Street, creating a captivating sight for visitors. Stop by soon and visit the museum and see the trains passing by! Come on inside and see railroad history and multiple model train layouts ( one with recreations of the buildings in LaGrange)
