How are you getting to the church on time?!
Hey DC couples, here’s an important tip for you when considering (or not considering) how you’ll get from your getting ready location to the church…
You need a car service.
Relying on a cab or ride share does NOT work nearly as smooth as a designated car service.
A sparkling clean car/suv sized appropriately for your gown, with a skilled driver, on time and waiting for you outside the hotel is going to make a huge difference in your experience just before your ceremony.
We’ve seen ride share options go downhill fast. While sometimes this option works out just fine, there’s no guarantee.
And don’t forget to ask your church for a street parking pass that will allow your car to park directly in front of the church stairs, and for that space to be marked off for you.
Your car should arrive directly to the front of the church, hold until it’s time for your entrance, so you can simply exist the car, climb the stairs, and walk down the aisle.
Doing a church send off? This car then becomes the getaway car after the ceremony!
