We are fortunate to live on the Puget Sound, and have a fabulous beach that we share with our neighbors.
One of our neighbors hosted a beach wedding for their son, and asked if we could handle the catering.
So while they were at the beach enjoying the ceremony, we got to work transforming their sunroom into an unforgettable reception.
Truly a special day for everyone involved!

Lots of fun celebrating a 50th birthday at the Olympia Press building.
Highlights from this hearty appetizer menu included peach and jalapeno chicken satay, shrimp poached in Kaffir lime butter, house made pickles, artisan meats and cheeses, colorful organic vegetables, medjool dates stuffed with Meyer lemon cheve, and more!
EZ Foods provided the classic pintuck linens and floral arrangements.
The stunning cake was made by Celebrity Cake Studio.

Basmati rice with mushrooms in garlic confit oil with steamed spinach.
Caesar salad and apple pie!

Pulled chicken enchiladas glazed in a red sauce made with tomato, chili powder, garlic, and onion.
Basmati rice with tomato, roasted green chili peppers, cilantro and cumin.
Black beans cooked in fresh chicken stock with cotija cheese and cilantro.
Organic green salad garnished with edible nasturtium flowers harvested from the winter greenhouse.
Plus chips and salsa!

Throughout the year, we donate food to local organizations.
We have the option for our clients to donate leftovers, and we package them up and deliver them.
And we often try to buy more than we need for the order so that we can provide a donation ourselves.
One of my favorite places to donate is Pear Blossom Place, which provides subsidized housing to homeless families with children.
My last stop today was to deliver a Thanksgiving style dinner for 60 people.
I'm grateful that we have shelters to donate food, and the means to give a little back to our community, to people who could use a little kindness and support.
There is enough for all of us, so give when you can, and you will receive when you need it.
