The 41st Annual Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival has come to a close. Thank you to Pastor Suloff, all of our directors, cast, and crew for your hard work and dedication in bringing the epiphany of our Lord to life. Thank you to all of the wonderful folks who came out to celebrate with us, the life, love, and joy of Jesus Christ. You make this all possible and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Now we start planning for 2025!!

Day 1 of the 2024 Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival is in the books! Thank you to all of the wonderful folks who ventured out into the wintery weather to celebrate with us. We packed the house, and received standing ovations for all 3 shows!

If you purchased tickets for our Saturday shows but couldn't make it, no worries, we will honor your tickets at the Sunday shows!

Looking forward to seeing you there for our last 2 performances!!

Did you know???
The Boar's Head Festival has its roots in ancient times when the boar was considered a symbol of evil and darkness. Killing a boar was seen as a courageous act, and in medieval and Tudor England, it became a part of Christmas celebrations. The festival itself is thought to have originated at Queen's College, Oxford, in 1340. According to legend, a scholar at the college was walking in the forest when he was attacked by a wild boar. He managed to kill the boar by shoving his copy of Aristotle's works down its throat. In celebration of this brave act, the boar's head was then carried into the college hall each Christmas.

Over the centuries, the Boar's Head Festival evolved into a grand feast and celebration, complete with elaborate pageantry, music, and performances. It became a popular tradition in many English colleges and later spread to other institutions and communities.

Open Casting Call!
The Boar’s Head Festival production committee is excited to announce that casting has begun for the 2024 season!!

There are a variety of volunteer roles to fill:

Actors (leads and extras)
Singers
Instrumentalists
Stage crew
Clean-up crew
Kitchen crew
Makeup artists
Dancers
Costume and props assistant

All ages, identities, and abilities! No prior experience required. All are welcome!

Choir rehearsals:
· Held at St. Peter’s
· Thursday evenings, beginning October 12, 2023 (Tentatively 7-8 pm)
− No Rehearsals: November 23, November 30, or December 21, 2023
· Choir and Orchestra Rehearsal: Tuesday, January 2, 2024 (call time TBD)

Rehearsal with Orchestra and Cast:
· Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, 7pm (call time TBD)

Full dress rehearsal for all Cast, Crew, Orchestra, and Choir:
· Thursday, January 4th, 2024, 7pm (call time TBD)

Performances:
· Saturday, January 6th, 2024, 1pm, 4pm & 7pm
· Sunday, January 7th, 2024, 1pm & 4pm
