Flower facts: Astrantia is a super delicate, vintage like flower. Commonly known as melancholy gentlemen, masterwort and Hattie's pincushion. Its stems and rhizome (root stem) can be used for medicinal purposes, they provide an essential oil used for stomach ailments. Lasts up to 12 days as a cut flower.

Its been almost a year since Holland flower shipments came to a halt. When product is not available you get creative and grow amaryllis yourself, in Alaska during winter (it's -10° today). Many blooms to come..
Sure hope shipping resumes before tulip season at end of March - April. Over 7 million tulips each season are grown there, bucket list item for sure.
