***ANNOUNCEMENT***

LAAD Board has hired a new Operations Manager. Jay Isch, our former Board President, has graciously accepted the position to assist the Board in overseeing LAAD’s business operations. He will begin after New Year’s Day.

LAAD Board is grateful for Marc Bartholomew, who has held down the fort for us in the interim, since August of this year. Marc’s service to our organization is wholeheartedly appreciated. Please join us in thanking Marc for his dedication to LAAD.

"$mart Money Management"

LAD is hosting an engaging and informative Financial Workshop where you'll learn about managing money; retirement, credit scores, high yield savings accounts, investments, ABLE account, and MORE!

This workshop is designed to enhance your understanding of all things finances and boost your confidence in managing your money.

Thanks to a partnership with the Louisiana Commission for the Deaf, we are able to bring in the BEST of the BEST for this workshop, Ms. Dina Padden, Founder & CEO of tradeeer.

Ms. Padden is the visionary founder of tradeeer (yes, all lowercase letters), a financial service and education company dedicated to empowering individuals through financial literacy, taking control of their finances, and growing money. With a rich background as a former school principal, Dina spearheaded an innovative financial literacy program for high school seniors. Before her entrepreneurial journey, Dina honed her expertise as a financial analyst and auditor at one of the Big Five accounting firms. Her robust experience in finance, combined with her status as a EA candidate, AFSP tax preparer, and MBA in accounting, equips her with a deep understanding of financial systems and regulations. Dina is also a CEO, financial consultant, bookkeeper, and tax preparer, committed to helping individuals and businesses manage their finances effectively, As an entrepreneur, she is passionate about growing wealth and sharing her extensive knowledge with the signing community, ensuring that financial empowerment is accessible to all. As a trader, Dina enjoys trading stocks and crypto when she can. When not busy with her companies, Dina enjoys being with her family, hiking, mountain biking, and long walks on the beach.
