14 Years. 1 Month. 24 Days. That’s how long ago he passed away. She visits him every morning before attending mass. He was: Her 7th grade boyfriend. Her husband of 47 years. The father of her children and grandfather to her grandchildren. He was the love of her life…I wanted to capture that. I wanted to capture what true love looks like. What never giving up looks like. Life wasn’t always easy for them either. She had breast cancer twice in her early 20’s and while she was quite literally fighting for her life in the hospital, he was at home taking care of two 2 small children so she could heal and hopefully be back home with them. They had ups and downs financially, they had ups and downs with life in general but they never gave up. Still to this day she lives in their home by herself and she’s happy with knowing that she had true love for 67 years out of 80 years of being on this earth. Even though the world has shifted, times have shifted, and we all have more access to strangers or people we barely know. That doesn’t mean that good things aren’t worth fighting for 🫶🏽 01.27.24. #love #couples #truelove #grandparents #breastcancersurvivor #neverendinglove

I APPRECIATE Y'ALL SO MUCH!
Happy Thursday!
I wanted to give some insight to anyone out there hiring a wedding photographer. I’ve always had this thought process of, “If they like your work, they’ll hire you.” True but also false. With there being so many options now a days, price budgets, etc. I’ve realized that first time brides have no clue what things should cost or what they’re actually investing into.
I wish every inquiry I received, I was able to sit and meet with them but not everyone’s schedule has that flexibility.
At meetings I always love to share FULL wedding galleries from past weddings. Not just a highlighted blog post with my favorite photos. I feel like if I did that, then I’m not being honest with how things should go on a wedding day or what they may even look like.
If your venue is a church, it will look completely different than an outdoor wedding. You can’t even compare the two. The lighting is different, the time frame will be different etc etc. BUT if you’re not a photographer, you may not take these things into consideration.
I did a time lapse of me editing a portion of a wedding. Most of my 7 hour weddings end up with over 1,000 images in there gallery. I cull through everything from the wedding day, then go back and edit each individual photo, straighten everything etc. This is what people DON’T see. They don’t see photographers working behind the scenes. Preparing the photos for their clients and ensuring the colors spot on, proportioned right and so on. So here’s a glimpse of me editing the ceremony photos of a church wedding. This takes time and so it should. This is an extremely special day to so many people. And I want it to be as perfect as possible for them.
So if you’ve never worked with me, or are looking for a wedding photographer, don’t be scared to meet them in person and see what you’re paying for. I honestly LOVE meeting in person before clients book. I love being able to show them what they’ll receive and mak
