August 9th, 2025 marks when a blog post by Brad Neuberg was published, where “free spirits” and creators were invited to “come together in community .... sitting at tables or relaxing on couches as we do our work.” This simple invitation is credited with kicking off the coworking movement.

Almost 19,000 coworking spaces across the globe and 18 years later, we celebrate the workspaces that act as creative think-tanks, spaces of productivity and gathering places to connect with our fellow humans.
