Lafayette Center for Dance (LCD) began in August 2010 in LaGrange, Georgia. Starting with about 85 students, LCD faculty began the journey of sharing their love of dance with the children of the Troup County community. Five years later, LCD has grown to over 300 students and a staff of 15+ wonderful Dance Educators and Student Teachers. At LCD, we offer the finest technical dance training while fo

cusing on movement as an art form. LCD focuses on building self-confidence through movement, which we hope will spill over into the dancer’s everyday life experiences. Lafayette Center for Dance is committed to providing quality dance instruction in a fun, professional environment. Lafayette Center for Dance provides high-quality training in a variety of dance forms for ages pre-school and up, in a caring and nurturing atmosphere. We develop dancers capable of performing live on stage by instilling in our students technical expertise, a sense of pride, confidence, accomplishment, group spirit, and self-worth. LCD provides students with the opportunity to perform on stage before live audiences through LSPA-funded productions, as well as preparing students for dance auditions, scholarships, and job interviews. We provide our community with high-quality ballet productions that add to the quality of life and support the overall mission of the Lafayette Society for Performing Arts.
