✨ Meet our Associate Spotlight the Month, Chef Peter. Chef Peter is the Executive Chef at Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista.

1. What do your day-to-day tasks consist of?
🌟 As the Executive Chef of the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista property my daily duties are varied day to day. I spend part of my time in the kitchen managing my associates and the Culinary aspect of the position. I also cook for all the special event banquets and holiday buffets. I also ensure the food and physical safety aspects of the kitchen are maintained at a high level. The other parts of my day are time spent doing Administrative duties that include, answering and sending emails, inventory, ordering and receiving, scheduling, menus, and keeping up with the financial side of the business.

2. What is your favorite part of your role?
🌟 Interaction with my associates and the other associates at our property, we have a great and diverse team here. Also, guest interactions can be very fun and interesting, especially when giving them advice about all the theme parks.

3. What are you most proud of in your career here so far?
🌟 Building a great team of associates and being able to see them grow in their roles on the Culinary Team.

4. What does the importance of your role mean to you?
🌟 The biggest responsibility of this position is to keep the food safe. We serve a large amount of guests at the property and food safety is paramount.

5. What is your favorite way to interact with guests?
🌟 Having a conversation about all of the great attractions and rides at the theme parks. I go all the time and to see their reactions to the different rides is great. Getting compliments on our culinary program is great too.

6. What recommendations do you give guests for local attractions?
🌟 Ride the Velocicoaster at Islands of Adventure.
