Pure enchantment.

Kat and Dave’s ceremony transported guests into the pages of a fairytale. Between the panoramic views of Lake Como and their thoughtful and charming vows, we all stood mesmerized by the scene before us.

Mother Nature herself must have been just as entranced, as the impending rain held off until the exact moment that the last guest entered the villa for cocktail hour.

A moment in time we won’t soon forget.

Benvenuti! 🇮🇹

On Friday evening, Kat and Dave’s guests were swept away on a boat ride to a dazzling destination: the incomparable Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

From the historic Flowers Pool, they watched the sun set over Lake Como with spritzes and freshly-baked pizza in hand. The sweet sounds of laughter and a cheerful saxophone filled the air. It was the perfect beginning to an unforgettable weekend.

I ordered the cutest branded postcards to send as valentines this year, battled the line at the post office to snag the perfect Forever Stamp, wrote three of them (out of 50), never dropped them in the mail, and called it quits… Maybe I’ll send them in 2025! 😆

Regardless, nothing will ever top these custom beauties that created for me a few years back. I post them year after year, and they never get old! 💌

I still haven’t found the perfect words to describe this magical night, but I’ll try… It was full of adrenaline, unbridled excitement, and pure, unfiltered joy.

Celeste came to me this past October with plans of a Spring 2025 wedding… later that week, discussions began for 2024 dates instead. Then, her wild idea entered the conversation: “Call me crazy because you are going to, but what if I make our engagement party a surprise wedding?” That was November 7th. After a few frantic texts to my preferred vendors for these clients, I decided it wasn’t as crazy as I had imagined… Every vendor we loved was available, and it felt like fate. That feeling continued as each detail seemed to fall effortlessly into place.

On December 22nd, Celeste and Rich hosted the engagement party of a lifetime. Their closest loved ones mingled for around an hour, often asking where Celeste was. “Oh, you know her… she’s still getting ready!” Everything clicked for them when Rich’s father made the big announcement: “this isn’t just an engagement party, this is a surprise wedding.”

In that moment, I opened the front gate of her best friend’s home, and Celeste appeared with her dad in the most spectacular dress you’ve ever seen. They walked through a screaming crowd to the ceremony location, which had been disguised as a very elaborate cake display. There, she and Rich vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives.

I get the same chills thinking about it now as I did in the moment it happened. What a special celebration for two extra special humans. I’ll love you forever, Mr. & Mrs. Guile!!

Some favorite moments from Haley and Griffin’s reception.

This day was the perfect reminder of what really matters… There are candles out from the wind and rain, we couldn’t place the rugs under the lounges, the original floor plan had to change… I have a crippling case of perfectionism, so sometimes (read: most times), the little details like these feel like the end of the world to me—it’s a blessing and a curse in this line of work.

But none of that *truly* matters in the big picture. What does? What’s going to be remembered in 20 years? The moments matter. The people matter. Their smiles and laughs matter. The memories matter. The rest is an added bonus.

There’s nothing quite like being greeted with a crisp glass of champagne!

I don’t know that we’ve ever breathed a greater sigh of relief than when Haley and Griffin’s guests made their way into the house for cocktail hour. Shortly after they did, the flood gates opened yet again!

I was grateful that they were tucked away with drinks and appetizers flowing! took excellent care of them while we adjusted and dried the reception space yet again.
