A prayer for our candidates, leaders, and country appears in the Prayers for National Life in the 1979 Book of Common Prayer (p. 822, no. 24). Let’s join together as a parish in prayer on this Election Day:

Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers
and privileges: Guide the people of the United States (or of
