Rock the Dock is so fun. First off, my friend throws it. Second, a lot of my other friends attend it. Third, some of my other friends actually perform in it. It’s like a homecoming. And it all comes together really well. My favorite part of this Rock the Dock was the view I had. I loved seeing people on these big, americana boats enjoying summer, the music, and the crowd. It looked like I was watching old film through my own eyes.

Later in the night, I had a minute to get away and was walking a pizza over to someone closer to the stage. As I approached the concert area, I felt an obvious good energy and saw this beautiful concert and dance space that put together. I saw the event, for the first time, for what it is: a super good time in an unlikely place [for a concert]. So happy to be apart of it.

Thank you to my team! And thank you to everyone who got pizza, hung out, had a laugh, or introduced themselves. All these little things mean so much.

Thankful for the ups and downs of 2023. My second year in business was everything I could have hoped for. I’m looking forward to what’s in store for us this upcoming year and wish you the best in your life and the lives of those closest to you. We all need each other— may the support you need be there for you and may you be there to support those who need your help.

The Extra Mile made its 2023 debut last Saturday with some exceptional pizzas in an exceptional location, the Adirondack Winery Queensbury.

We’ll be back there this Friday 4/21 from 4-7 to do it again. Hope to see you there!

Last weekend I was invited out to in Corinth, NY by a very lovely couple (who I can’t thank enough) for their WEDDING! That’s right, i did a wedding! To be fair, I was not the main caterer, I was “late night” but it was still a feat for me bc weddings are next level in terms of events. helped us with all the logistics and from there we did what we does best: make pizza.

We chose to present the pizza as slices already on plates so that no one had to wait and everyone could get hot n fresh food and get back inside to the dance floor where it was warm! The ex*****on was flawless and when our time was up, we went the extra mile by making several pizzas to-go for the wedding party (and even a few for the staff)! Overall, we had a great time and I’m already looking forward to next spring. Speaking of which, consider booking me for any events you have in 2023 ✌️

Big shout out to my dad. This post would be a novel if i laid out how much he steps up for me with this business. Y’all see my hand, it’s broken, no more pizzas. He’s who steps up. Before this, he’s been my prep guy each week for every event. We roll dough together, I load up the Ta’, he cleans up the mess. I throw a lot at him accidentally: I make him go to the grocery store sometimes to get produce at the 11th hour before an event (“sometimes” AKA 75% of the time). Then, I make him cut everything! I don’t mean to but the prepping demands are insane. I’ve never cut the cheese this summer. Not once. It was either him or my other clutch help. After this weekend and with the last few weeks of my season looking less than likely, i just want to give credit where credit is due. He IS the behind-the-scenes help that makes what I do possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Everyone who likes my pizza thanks you, too. Love you, Dad ❤️

Shout out to the crew for helping fire up the oven while I dipped out to finish prepping and for helping me load in my heaviest item after the event. Shout out for folding my pizza boxes while I set up and for challenging me to make you a totally unique pizza! Shout out to a kind fella named Paul for expertly getting my trailer attached to my truck and honestly to many, many more (especially my dad). This pizza stuff ain’t easy! 😅😮‍💨

Welcome to the official fb page for The Extra Mile Mobile Wood Fired Pizza! We go the extra mile for you! 😁

I created this business in the Fall of 2021 but I have been making pizza as an occupation since I was 15 years old. My parents had a pizzeria then and I was always getting into trouble so they would make me come along as punishment. Once there, I was taught the art form so that I could be “useful” while they kept an eye on me 🙄

Pride took over pretty early on and before you knew it, I became “way better than my dad” and “the best pizza man ever” to which I still hold that title today, of course. In time, I realized that I could get all these fancy shmancy ingredients but the dough and the oven temps would always keep the final result at a certain ceiling. A ceiling I wasn’t content with. That’s when the wood-fired-pizza-with-an-emphasis-on-dough-and-good ingredients idea started formulating. 🤔💭

Fast forward to now, I make my dough according to techniques borrowed from artisan bread bakers: Higher hydration and longer ferments. I stretch the pizza like a New York style place would but I dress my pizzas like they do in Naples and cook it in a very hot oven like they use in Naples. I’m all over the place and that’s how I like it! I’m sure you will, too. 🍕

The Extra Mile takes private parties of all kinds and works closely with the hosts/event planners to ensure the best experience possible is provided for you and your guests. Weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, graduations, family reunions, corporate events, etc… we do ‘em all.
