Yesterday Kate got moved in at UWM. She and her roommate Carly (who is from my old hometown of Columbus) in their dorm.

Earlier in the day, she was doing some last minute ironing and I noticed she was watching Bolt, a Pixar movie from 2008. Reminded me that we took her to that movie when she was 3.

As we head quickly into the middle of summer and the Fourth of July holiday weekend, we are finally coming up for air after a whirlwind June that included Kate’s graduation party (months in the making).

Having gone through a senior year I realize just how quickly time passes. It’s a cliche yet so true. It’s hear before you know it.

With that in mind, we’re booking area seniors for the class of 2025 and wanted to encourage you to reach out if you would like to have your sessions captured this summer.

Lake Mills Girls Softball came from behind in the top of the 7th and scored two runs with two outs to go ahead of Jefferson, 2-1. They held the Eagles and celebrated their win over perennial powerhouse Jefferson in the first round of Sectional action.

After taking Sparky to school yesterday, I saw these two Sandhill Cranes randomly show up in a wild land area near the house. I went back home to get some gear to photograph them.

Apparently a resident red wing blackbird was not too fond of the interlopers and proceeded to let them know!!

Awww Lenny! He had so much fun yesterday evening running through the grass chasing Kate and Nicki! And I had so much fun capturing his big spirit with the new 300 f2.8 GM lens from Sony using the Sony a1 camera. I think it'll do! 😉😉
