The Vanguard '24 has been cancelled.

To our athletes and spectators,

Despite the changes for this year's event, we were unable to generate sufficient athlete participation/interest to cover the costs of running a high-quality event in a convention center venue. Even with significant reductions in the amount of space and rental time, we simply couldn't get the math to make sense.

A full refund for all athlete registrations, including all applicable fees, has been processed and should show up on your credit card statement within a few business days if it hasn't already.

Thank you for your support of the event over the years! We appreciate everyone who has been a part of The Vanguard family.

We'll see you in Daytona for the !

-Removed: Teams of Four

-Changed to one day events: Duos on Saturday (Oct 19), Individuals on Sunday (Oct 20)

-3 Workouts + 1 Lift for each day

These athletes need to sign waivers in Competition Corner! See someone you know? Tag 'em!

Athletes who do not electronically sign their waiver by Tuesday will need to sign a paper waiver at check-in before they can pick up their wristband.

Heats are now available in Competition Corner! While you're there, make sure your waiver is signed!

VANGUARD 2023 WOD 5: PHALANX

PLEASE WATCH VIDEOS IN NEXT POST FOR STANDARDS AND FLOW DEMO.

The final WOD for 2023 is all hands. Teams and Duos will lunge to the rig to complete rope climbs, wall balls, and DB hang snatches as a unit, then lunge back to start. Then begin again.

This is a 16 minute grind with little rest - heads down, eyes forward, and forge your way .
