Kind of a last minute notification….I’m offering a Turkey Cookie Decorating Class Tuesday night, November 14th, at 6:00. The cookies were so fun to decorate I thought you might enjoy it as well. We need at least five people to form a class. Want to come? Cost will be $40 and you will walk away with 6 of these very large cookies.

2023 is the last year The Bridge at ChrisLeigh Farm will host weddings. We are selling our 100 year old church pews (after the November weddings). Reserve yours now! Selling all 16 pews for $2750 or if I can get 16 buyers I will sell individually for $225 each.

I have been so bad about posting photos from our weddings so I’m going back to try to make up for it. John and Natasha Tilley were married on the farm November, 2021. My Aunt, Judy Davis, was the caterer and Crave Sweet provided the cake and delicious pies. There was also a huge charcuterie table Unfortunately I didn’t get many photos of the bride and groom because I was busy working on other aspects of the reception. Would love to post more photos if the photographer or wedding couple will send me some.

Congratulations to Jodi and Daniel! This sweet couple was married in our log home last weekend. Jodi wore a beautiful rose gold dress and the groom was handsome in his uniform. The cakes were from my new favorite bakery in Arlington- Crave Sweet. Also enjoyed working with their coordinator, Dee.

I feel a little strange posting this but the family encouraged me to do so. I pray you don’t need our services for a funeral, but if you have lost a loved one and are afraid to have an indoor Celebration of Life service because of Covid, you might want to consider using our farm. Or, maybe the deceased loved the outdoors and you want to honor his memory with an outdoor service. We have church pews and can make it very special for the family while practicing social distancing. This family wanted a casual atmosphere. It rained the day of the funeral and we had to have everything under the tent, however the last photo could be the setup for another day.

Put up our big tent today. Easily sleeps 6-8 and will hold three queen size mattresses. Since the tents are already up for the photo shoot who would like to camp tonight -no charge?

Who is ready to go camping? Sitting at the picnic table now and it feels so nice outside!!! Can’t wait for Fall to get here. We have been working on our campsite today - sort of a practice run. We will set up a tent that would sleep at least four, maybe more. May have another tent that is still in working order. Campsite is a work in progress. Bistro lights are strung between the trees. Will provide some sort of grill/fire pit. Bathroom with shower available in the barn which is around 250 ft from the campsite. Tent is near the pond where you can do some catch and release fishing. I may provide a pancake breakfast cooked outdoors or eggs and bacon. Have not decided what I will place inside the tent. Price, you ask…..not sure, as it will depend on how much I am providing. We have to make it worth our efforts of possibly putting up and taking down the tent each weekend. Who is ready to talk about booking?

December 2023. (Previous post edit). With some regret we have decided to stop hosting weddings. I have enjoyed working with all of my brides and meeting their families. I’m still friends with some of the MOB’s. Sean and I want to travel more and spend more time with family. We are also gearing up to sell the farm and move. Over 35 years of collecting “stuff” will take awhile to get rid of. After all I have a barn, four bay workshop and a home to store my “stuff” and I’m pretty sure my next home will not have all of this storage space. Selling all my wedding supplies and some personal items and giving the rest to a thrift store. If you know anyone looking for around 92 acres, a log home, covered bridge, barn and workshop please send them our way. I LOVE this farm and it will be a sad day, but exciting also, when we finally move on to the next adventure.
