Alien Lands in Lakeland!

On the 5th day of the month of May, the human race will suddenly encounter a deadly threat to its very existence. And this terrifying enemy will surface - as such enemies often do - in the seemingly most innocent and unlikely of places, the Threatte Center!

Prepare yourself now for the invasion. BHS drama, under the direction of Lanier County native Carla Burns, will be presenting “Little Shop of Horrors” May 5th through May 7th. The Broadway and Hollywood smash sci-fi musical has been devouring the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years and it is finally landing in Lakeland. The audience will be delighted by great songs and dances, a new set design, and a surprise straight out of the Broadway show. With two stellar casts, you are guaranteed to see a great show no matter when you attend.

Admission for this performance is $10 for all ages, but it is not recommended that young fans attend this show. Everyone will be welcome, but “Little Shop of Horrors” is recommended for a more mature audience and parental discretion is advised. Please research the show before attending with small children. The Friday performance will begin at 7:30pm and Sunday performance will begin at 3:00pm. Saturday's performance is a dinner theatre and requires a reservation. There will not be general admission for the Saturday show.
Doors will open for seating 30 minutes prior to each show with the exception of the dinner show with the meal beginning at 6:00.

The Oaklawn foundation is happy to present A Christmas Concert featuring The Azalea Winds on December 1st 2022 at the The Threatte Center. Please join us for a reception starting at 6pm followed by the concert at 7pm as we kick off the Christmas Season. There is no charge for this event, we will be taking up a donation for The Azela Winds. Donations are used to fund scholarships for students in our area, including Lanier County.

The Threatte Center is proud to present The Musical Beauty and the Beast Jr. The show will be performed at the Threatte Center on Friday July 29th at 7:30pm, Saturday July 30th at 7:30pm, and Sunday July 31st at 3pm.

These shows will be performed by area students and will consummate a week of Drama camp sponsored by The Oaklawn Foundation.

General admission is $10 at the door. A dinner theater option is also available for the Saturday Show. If you are interested in participating in the dinner Theater, please contact The Lakeland-Lanier Chamber of Commerce at (229) 482-9755.

Beauty and the Beast Jr. is performed with license through Music Theatre International (MTI).
