This Saturday we had our last Lime Rock Drivers Club Miata Racing Championship of the 2023 season.

Our 2023 Season Winners are…

1st Place - Del Auray
2nd Place - Keith Mitchell
3rd Place - Jim Craige

We might have had a wet start to the morning but that didn’t stop our drivers down from participating in Races 9 and 10.

Drivers Club Members enjoyed their third and final winter autocross with beautiful winter weather. For our last winter autocross, we held a competition where Jim Craige placed with the best lap.

Our first official days of the season are coming up soon, March 25 and 26th. Don't forget to sign up and see everyone there!!!

This weekend we had our first winter Autocross of 2022 on the FCP Euro Proving Grounds. With perfect weather to enjoy this fun and entertaining day in the snow.

What a great way to end the season!! Last week we finished the season with an LRDC Autocross Competition. Our winner was David Maffucci with Roy Shanholtz as a close second. Hope everyone enjoyed this year of racing, and see you all out here next year!!

Last Saturday, on our penultimate 2021 track day, LRDC’s two spec-miata championships were decided on a thrilling day of racing.

The 2021 SM2 championship was won by the indecently fast Brian DiBella, with the runner up position being taken by Mike Gershon with Ross Berger third. Congratulations to all of you and your support teams.

Our deserving 2021 SM champion is Roy Shanholtz, no-one worked harder, or was more dedicated than Roy, even losing over 50 Ibs during the season. Roy also had the best possible technical and car prep support from team HRD, along with great coaching from LRDC’s very own Jonathan Goring. All in all a winning combination. Even so both Del Auray and Jim Craig put up a stout effort in finishing second and third respectively. I am sure they and many others who are on the cusp of a break through can’t wait to rejoin the battle in 2022!

Thank you to all of our competing members for a memorable hard, but fairly fought season, it has been so gratifying to see the marked improvement throughout the field. Well done all!

What an amazing way to end this race season!! This weekend Miata Drivers raced in our end of season Mazda Finale.

At this weekend the Drivers Club had their Tortoise & Hare, Miata Races 5 and 6, and HOOT (Honey’s only on Track). Members Club Members Tony Antonucci, Del Auray, Darren Berger, Mike Breault, Jim Craige, Alex Cunningham, Brian DiBella, Jonathan Draper, Michael Gershon, Mike Jacobellis, Bill Jandristis, Parker Kligerman, John Koster, Mike LeRoux, Keith Mitchell, Dan Moen, Rob Nimkoff, Thomas Ruch, Roy Shanholtz, Todd Sharinn, Joseph Viola, and Ben Wallace all participated in the Miata Races.

Another Exciting event that occurred at the Drivers Club was HOOT our Honeys only on Track. For two thirty minute sessions on the track we had only women driving the track. These Honeys went anywhere from 20 MPH to 120 MPH in either a race car or a street car, just to get a taste of racing.

This weekend IMSA came to Lime Rock Park and our club members got to experience all the incredible races from the outfield chalet. A big thank you to High Noon for coming out to make our race day more enjoyable with their refreshing drinks. Congratulations to all of the IMSA drivers who participated this weekend. Hope to see our own Drivers Club Members here on the 30th and 31st.

This weekend at Lime Rock Park Drivers Club Members Alexander Cunningham, Michael Gershon, Joseph Viola, Ben Wallace, and Ryan Wilhem were representing at Nasa. In qualifying on Friday Gershon took P1 and Cunningham took P2. In Friday’s race Wallace to P3 with Viola not to far behind in P4. In Saturday’s race Wallace took P3 and Gershon finished with best lap. Congratulations to all of our drivers!!!

This weekend the Mazda Miata Series Race 3 & 4 and the Tortoise & Hare Race took place.
For the Mazda Miata series 3 Qualifying and Race Roy Shanholtz came in 1st.
For the Mazda Miata series 4 Qualifying and Race Jim Craige also took 1st.
In the Tortoise & Hare Race David Maffucci came in 1st for the win.
Congratulations to all of our drivers for the entertaining weekend. Hope to see you all next weekend at for the Trans AM Memorial Day Classic.

Such an exciting and eventful weekend at Lime Rock Park!! For Qualifying in the Mazda Miata Series 1 & 2 Roy Shanholtz took the lead. In the Mazda Miata Series Races 1 & 2 first place was Jim Craige. Tortoise & Hare Race 1 first place was Michael Gershon. Tortoise & Hare Race 2 first place was David Maffucci. Congratulations to all of the racers and thank you for racing with us.
