Meet Alicia Miller, chef and owner of The Pulse Cafe (thepulsecafe.net). She specializes in Trinidadian food and has an extensive repertoire.
Pictured here are components for the famous Trini Doubles: Bara (fried flatbread), Alu-Chana (chickpeas), Cucumber relish and tamarind chutney. You make a sandwich with 2 baras, filled with chickpeas, relish and chutney. Like a street taco, itβs flavorful, messy and oh so delicious π
Also shown here are some dinner menu items: Trini chicken curry, Pumpkin Talkari with roasted garlic, Jasmine Rice and Trini Paratha. Add cucumber salsa or Trini salad (not shown) to complete your plate.
