Reality Dreams Horse Show Come join our high quality show series in operation for 30+ years. Classes for all ages & levels. It has since grown and expanded.

Reality Dreams Open Horse Show has been having shows since the early 1980s, starting in Vinton County as a fun show. After moving around the State in Franklin, Licking, Hocking counties, it has settled down in Fairfield County in Lancaster, Ohio. The shows provide great opportunities for riders to get practice for their County Fairs as well as the State Fair, Youth Show and Quarterhorse Congress.

It is reasonably priced and has a wide range of classes for beginners, young riders and also experienced riders.

It’s officially decided. After 40 consecutive years, Reality Dreams Open Horse Shows will be taking a year off this season. We will NOT be having shows in 2024. We’ve been talking to another facility but they are not ready for shows this year. We want to have the same high quality shows in a positive, supportive environment that we have offered over the past 40 years and felt that a new setting would better meet our needs. We’ll miss our horse show family this year! 😔 Added note: Please do not use this post to promote your show or facility. It is in poor taste and it will be deleted immediately.

From Karen: Just so everyone knows I’m healthy and happy. You can do a lot if you take your time and don’t give up. With my family hiking up to Angel’s Landing / Scout”s Lookout in Zion NP this weekend, we agreed that I would go slower and turn back at my choice. Lots of hikers so it was a good choice. We were ALL surprised when I made it clear to Scout's Lookout— 4 miles with 1050 foot elevation gain (all in 2 miles) Rated strenuous. That gain was the hard part! Other younger hikers encouraged me along the way 😍 Two cheered when they saw me near the top ❤️. Persistence pays off.

We had a great show yesterday to end a wonderful season! Thanks to everyone who showed with us this season. We especially appreciate our riders and their support people who go out of their way to help others and build them up with kind words and actions. You are the BEST! See you in April!

Just received a call from the Parker family staying overnight for tomorrow’s show. They live 2 hrs away and forgot their English girth. Does anyone have one they can borrow for tomorrow morning? They use a 46 with elastic ( maybe 47 without?) Who can help them out?

Season awards in many divisions are still wide open. Awards presented to the top five in each division. Two season points awarded for each class you show in regardless of placement. Placings used for daily awards. Will you be in the top 5?

Wow I am so glad our weather for next Saturday will be so much cooler than today! Really nice weather predicted. Even so, nice polo shirts in Western classes will be acceptable. Chaps always optional. English riders can shed their jackets but it should be cool in the morning.

Our Story

Reality Dreams Open Horse Shows has been having shows since the early 1980s, starting in Vinton County as a fun show. It has since grown and expanded. After moving around the state in Franklin, Licking, Hocking counties, it has settled down in Fairfield County at the fairgrounds in Lancaster, Ohio. We are now serving our third generation of loyal equestrian families and welcome your family into our show community. The shows provide great opportunities for riders to get practice for their county fairs as well as the State Fair, Youth Show and Quarter Horse Congress. It is reasonably priced and has a wide range of classes for beginners, young riders as well as experienced riders. This show series offers quality daily and season awards in multiple divisions covering English, Western & Contest/Gymkhana classes. Each show offers a wide variety of daily awards including ribbons, paybacks, trophies & medallions. Season awards include custom belt buckles from Gist silversmiths, multiple three foot trophies and championship rosettes. All riders are invited to show with Reality Dreams. There are no membership fees or labor requirements.
