Since 1962, the Long's Park Amphitheater Foundation has been providing free high-quality performances of various musical genres for the people of Lancaster and surrounding areas. The Summer Music Series has become a tradition in a family-friendly park setting and continues to be voted as the top musical entertainment destination in Central PA year after year. They present an array of national, international, and local artists and have introduced hundreds of thousands of people to exclusive performances not generally available in the area. They have also introduced a Community Awareness Initiative and invited other non-profit organizations to share in the concerts.

The Summer Music Series is made possible solely through the generous support of sponsors, grants, donors, and revenues generated by the annual Labor Day Weekend Art Festival. The Foundation is currently raising funds for necessary restorations, repairs, and upgrades to secure the structural integrity of their iconic building.
