The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation (LPACF) raised over $60,000 for the Arts for Youth program at the “Allure of the Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner and Auction”! 🎭 Guests enjoyed a night of mystery, delicious food, and a thrilling auction.

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation is awarding a $5,000 Performing Arts Scholarship to a local high school senior wishing to pursue higher education within the performing arts.
Visit your guidance office for a brochure or log-in to your senior portal and view under scholarship opportunities.
Applications may also be found at www.lpacf.org.

The submission process includes a written essay, demonstration of talent, academic transcripts, letter of recommendation, AND if selected as a finalist, an interview and audition on the Lancaster Performing Arts Center main stage.

***ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATORS, BAND TEACHERS, INSTRUCTORS AND MUSIC DIRECTORS!***
The Lancaster Performing Arts Center is hosting for a 3-day residency for high school band students at LPAC! This Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation grant supported outreach is geared towards students in grades 9-12. JazzReach - Sittin' In and Groovin' Out is a fun and educational three-day mentoring program that offers a unique opportunity for select student musicians from throughout the community to bridge cultural, economic, religious and gender divides and unify in the spirit of creative collaboration and great music. Over an intensive three-day residency, participating students will interact, rehearse and perform live with JazzReach's METTA QUINTET. The program objectives are to promote creativity and teamwork, build confidence and cultivate a deeper appreciation of jazz music, while inspiring students to strive to continue to improve and excel in both, music and life. The residency concludes with a concert with the students and the Metta Quintet on LPAC’s main stage.

Today the Lancaster Performing Arts Center welcomed 600 local students for an Arts for Youth performance of THE NUTCRACKER, presented by the ANTELOPE VALLEY BALLET. The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation was overjoyed to hear the boisterous cheers of energized students as they gazed at the stage in wonderment. The quote of the day came from a very excited 2nd grader, "This is like Vegas but so much better"! He was absolutely correct! We can't wait to see what tomorrow brings as the theatre prepares to greet an additional 700 amazed students!

An announcement from the Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation Board of Directors: The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation regrets to announce the upcoming SPEAKEASY, to be held on Saturday, January 29 at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) has been POSTPONED due to the rapidly increasing COVID-19 cases currently impacting our community and local businesses. The Foundation values the health of our respected event attendees, as it is our foremost priority to provide a safe environment for our guests during this continued unprecedented time. The postponed event will take place Saturday, June 4, featuring a night celebrating the 30th Anniversary of LPAC filled with 1930s glamour, casino gaming, and a live Murder Mystery “Who Dunit” taking place right on the LPAC stage! Details and tickets for this unforgettable evening coming soon! TO ALL TICKET HOLDERS – If your tickets for the January 29 SPEAKEASY were purchased through the LPAC Box Office, please contact the Box Office (hours) Tuesday – Saturday, 1-5PM to receive a refund. Students were wowed by this colorful adaptation designed by acclaimed puppeteers from Acheson Walsh Studios whose work was featured in Broadway's the King and I, On the Town, and Radio City's New York Spectacular!
